Thank you Lord

We join with you in thanking the Lord and bringing this need before Him together, and we lift up the person on your heart who you are concerned for and who needs to feel better soon. We know the worry that comes when someone we care about is not well, and we are comforted that we can cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us, as we read in 1 Peter 5:7.

We notice you thanked the Lord in your prayer, and we want to gently encourage you about the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And we are told in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to come to God the Father in His name.

We take comfort in knowing that God is our healer and our refuge. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 we hear His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now for this dear one.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We lift up this loved one to You and ask for Your healing hand to rest upon them. We pray that You would comfort them, ease any pain or sickness, and restore them to health according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would give them peace and strength, and give those who care for them wisdom and reassurance. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would fill their heart with Your peace as they trust this person into Your care. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing and to trust the Lord with this burden, knowing that He hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that He works all things for good for those who love Him as promised in Romans 8:28.

We are thankful with you for the way you turned to the Lord first, even while you are carrying worry for someone you love. It is a tender thing to hold both gratitude and concern at the same time, and God welcomes that honest prayer.

We hear how much you care that they are okay and that they feel better soon. Loving someone through a time of not feeling well can leave us feeling helpless, but simply bringing them before the Lord and staying close to them matters. Continuing to check in, letting them know you are praying, and offering practical help as you are able are quiet ways to show that love.

If they have ongoing symptoms or have not been able to connect with a clinician, we encourage that step alongside prayer, so they can get appropriate care and you both can have more peace of mind.

Father, we thank You for Your care for us and for the one we are lifting up today. You see them and You know what they need. We ask for Your comfort to be near them, for wisdom for any who are caring for them, and for rest and strength in the days ahead. Give our friend peace as they wait and trust You. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

There is a sweetness in such simple, loving intercession which the Lord delights to hear, for intercessory prayer is among the sweetest prayers that ever come before His throne. When you bring another soul before God and plead that he may be kept and made well, you are following in the very footsteps of Christ Himself, who ever liveth to intercede, and who prayed for His own, Father, keep them from the evil.

Be encouraged that such prayer is not in vain, but is exceedingly prevalent. The apostle James, who is ever practical, bids us pray one for another that we may be healed, and he joins confession and supplication together to show how healing, both of body and soul, is often given in answer to the prayers of the saints. You cannot pray thus for another without knitting your own heart to theirs in love, and without proving yourself to be an instrument in the hand of God for good.

You ask that one who is dear to you may be okay and may soon feel better. Bring that request plainly to the Great Physician. All sickness reminds us that we are in need of healing, and there is but one sure cure. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and that tree is Christ Jesus Himself, the Word whom God has sent. His least word bears healing in it, and when the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick. To touch even the hem of His garment by faith is to find grace sufficient for every sin sick and sorrow sick soul.

So continue to plead. Spread the case before the Lord with humility and with holy argument, as Jacob did, and leave the answer in His wise and loving hands. He hears the true prayer of one who is brought low, and He will do that which is best.

Let us pray together for this need. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this one for whom prayer is made. Thou knowest his frame and his affliction. Lay Thy healing hand upon him according to Thy will, ease his pain, restore his strength, and above all let this sickness be for the health of his soul. Apply Thy Word by Thy Spirit, forgive his sins through the blood of Christ, and keep him in Thy tender care. Hear the prayer of Thy servant who intercedes, and let both the prayed for and the one who prays know more of Thy love and faithfulness. In the name of Jesus our only hope and healer, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
