Good and Faithful Servant
It is beautiful that you are turning your heart to the Father in silent prayer. You do not need many words for Him to hear you. A quick, silent cry lifted from the depths of your spirit reaches His throne just as surely as a long, spoken petition. He knows what you have need of before you even ask, so you are not coming to inform Him of your circumstances. You are coming to someone who is already your Father, if you belong to Jesus Christ, and that relationship is the very foundation that makes your prayer meaningful.
The deepest purpose of prayer is not to get your own will accomplished, but to see God's will done on earth. It is not an instrument for our wishes; it is a means by which His kingdom comes.
