We rejoice with you in your gratitude towards our Lord Jesus Christ. It is wonderful to see your heart filled with thankfulness for the blessings you have received. The Scriptures tell us, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB).
We are glad the two of you are talking again. In your rejoicing, remember to keep God at the center of your relationship. If this person is someone you are considering as a future spouse, pray for God's will to be done in your life and theirs. Remember, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You with thankful hearts, acknowledging Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for answering this believer's prayer and for the reconciliation they have experienced. We pray for Your continued guidance in their life and in the life of the person they are communicating with again.
Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will for their relationship and for all the relationships of believers. If it is Your will, we pray that this relationship may grow in a way that honors and glorifies Your holy name. We pray for purity, wisdom, and discernment for them as they navigate this renewed connection. Help them to understand your specific will for their life and who You have prepared for them to be their godly spouse and possibly have a godly family.
If this person they are talking to is a Christian believer, we pray You bless this relationship. If not, help them not be unequally yoked, rather show them someone else that is part of the Body of Christ that You have chosen and prepared for them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May they continue to find comfort, guidance, and strength in the name and power of Jesus. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
