We join you in giving thanks to Jesus for His mercy and protection over you in that accident, for though your vehicle was damaged, you were spared and it could have been far worse. We thank God with you that the other driver had coverage and we praise Him for His hand upon you all week when you have felt so low. The Lord sees you and knows exactly where you are hurting.
We hear the heaviness in your heart, the weariness of working only to pay bills, the discouragement of wanting to die because life feels like an endless cycle, the physical weakness you feel each morning, and the loneliness of feeling like you have only yourself and Jesus to talk to. We want you to know that the Lord draws especially near in this kind of pain. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Matthew 11:28 invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your exhaustion, your financial pressure, your business struggles, and your burden of caring for your mother and her business are not hidden from Him.
We also hear you say you are a good person and we thank God for the good He has worked in you, yet we gently remind you that our hope is not in our own goodness but in the righteousness we have through Jesus Christ alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 teaches for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. It is because of Jesus that we can come boldly to the Father and it is His goodness that sustains us when we feel we have nothing left to give.
We understand your desire for a new outlook and a new source to get money, to be able to save, to have margin for emergencies, and to enjoy the fruit of your labor. The desire to provide and to be a good steward is godly, but we encourage you not to chase after money as your source or your identity. God Himself is your source. Philippians 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 calls us to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. That means putting Him first, being diligent and honest in your work, managing what you have with wisdom, and trusting Him to open doors for growth in His timing. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit. We encourage you to keep tending your business faithfully, to seek wise counsel, to budget and plan as you are able, and to ask God for creativity and opportunity, while guarding your heart from despair and from any scheme that promises quick riches but leads away from integrity.
You mentioned feeling like you want to die and feeling sick and weak every day. We speak life and hope over you in Jesus name. You are not alone and your life has great value to God. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Romans 8:28 assures us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Even in this hard season of slow business, taxes, inventory, and caring for your mother while neglecting yourself, God can bring renewal. Please do not walk through these dark thoughts alone. We urge you to reach out to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, or a local church family who can walk with you, pray with you face to face, and encourage you regularly. Hebrews 10:25 encourages us not to forsake assembling together, for we need one another. You said all you have is you and Jesus, and we thank God that Jesus will never leave you, but He also places us in a family of believers to bear one another’s burdens.
We also pray for your physical strength. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and God cares about your health. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Ask the Lord for healing, for rest, and for wisdom to care for yourself even as you faithfully care for your mother.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. Thank You for sparing life in that accident and for Your daily mercies. Lord, You see the financial strain, the damaged vehicle, the slow business, the taxes and inventory, and the need for an emergency cushion. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory and grant wisdom to steward what has been entrusted. Give a new outlook, renewed hope, and open doors for honest increase and growth that honors You. Touch the body and bring strength where there is weakness and sickness, and bring sleep and refreshing each morning. Lift the spirit of heaviness and replace it with Your joy and peace. Remind this heart that life is not just work and bills, but knowing You and walking in Your purpose. Surround this child of Yours with godly community so loneliness is broken and help is near. Guard against thoughts of death and fill the heart with hope for the future You have planned. Help to rest in Your grace and not in being good enough, but in Christ who is enough. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.
