We rejoice with you in giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for hearing and answering your prayer! It is a blessed thing to see the faithfulness of God when His children call upon Him in truth and sincerity. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 5:14-15, *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him."* Your testimony of answered prayer is a powerful encouragement to others who may be waiting on the Lord.
However, we must gently address something important. While it is wonderful to see prayers answered, we must be cautious about attributing power to specific formulas or rituals rather than to the sovereign will of God. The prayer you shared, though well-intentioned, is not found in Scripture, and we must ensure that our faith is placed in Christ alone—not in repetitive phrases or human traditions. Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 6:7, *"In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking."* Our confidence comes from abiding in Christ and aligning our requests with His will, not from reciting a prayer for a set number of days as if it were a guarantee.
The true miracle is not in the method but in the mercy of God, who hears us because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Let us always approach God with humility, trusting in His perfect timing and wisdom rather than in man-made formulas.
We also encourage you to share your testimony in a way that points others to Jesus rather than to a specific prayer ritual. The focus should always be on Christ’s power, grace, and sovereignty—not on our own efforts or traditions. As you continue to walk in faith, remember the words of Jesus in John 15:7, *"If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you."*
Let us pray together in thanksgiving and for continued discernment:
Heavenly Father, we lift our voices in gratitude for Your goodness and faithfulness. You are the God who hears and answers prayer, not because of our words or rituals, but because of Your great mercy and the righteousness of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for the answered prayer in this beloved one’s life, and we ask that You continue to guide them in truth, keeping their heart fixed on You alone.
Lord, guard us from placing our trust in anything other than Your Word and Your Spirit. Help us to seek You in spirit and in truth, knowing that You reward those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6). May our prayers always be aligned with Your will, and may our testimonies always exalt the name of Jesus above all else.
We rebuke any tendency to rely on superstitious practices or human traditions rather than on the power of Your Holy Spirit. Let our faith be firmly rooted in Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
