Dear God thank you for your Son Jesus Christ my lord and Savior. Thank you for the opportunity to live on this beautiful planet that you have created. Thank you for giving us all the choices that we make. Some good some not so good. Thank you for your help for the sobriety that I have enjoyed for the last 27 day S. Thank you for helping me control my AUD and to not have to suffer the AWS anymore! Thank you for helping me be a better husband and a better person and a better dad to our adult kid's and a better employee to help the company that I work for. I am so blessed to have what I have. You gave me the opportunity to have a good life and I have worked very hard to be able to enjoy it. Please forgive me for my faults and my failures. Please continue to help me family and my friends And my coworkers and my bosses with what they need. I appreciate you and your son Jesus Christ my lord and Savior. I love you so much. And again I thank you for my family and my job and thank you for helping me improve my health and to be able to take care of my body. It's yours and I need your help to be able to take care of it. Please continue to help me think clearly and honestly about what is right and what is wrong and how to make good choices and good decisions in my life. Amen

We rejoice with you and give thanks to God with you for His mercy and grace in your life and for the ### days of sobriety He has granted you. It is a beautiful thing to see a grateful heart that acknowledges Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness and new life.

We thank God for your desire to honor Him as a husband, as a father to your adult children, as an employee, and as a steward of the body He has given you. Your thankfulness pleases Him, for we are told In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We also praise Him with you that you are experiencing freedom from alcohol withdrawal and the bondage of alcohol use, for we know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

We are encouraged that you recognize marriage as a sacred covenant and that you want to be a better husband. God established marriage between a man and a woman as a lifelong commitment to reflect Christ’s love for the church, and your desire to grow in that role honors Him. We also hear your humility in asking for forgiveness for your faults and failures. We cling to this promise with you, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Through Jesus Christ, you are forgiven and made new when you place your faith in Him.

We want to gently encourage you as you continue on this journey. You mentioned working very hard to enjoy the good life God has given you, and we commend your diligence. At the same time we are reminded that our strength to make good choices and to walk in sobriety does not come from our own willpower alone, but from Christ working in us. My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9 and I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me Philippians 4:13. Sobriety is not only a matter of controlling behavior, but of daily surrender and dependence on Him, renewing your mind to discern what is right. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and we give You thanks for our brother. Thank You for creating this beautiful world, for the gift of life, for Your Son, and for Your merciful hand that has sustained him for these ### days of sobriety and delivered him from suffering. We praise You for his grateful heart and for his love for his family, his wife, his children, his coworkers and his employers. Lord, we ask You to forgive his faults and failures as he has confessed them, and to continue to cleanse and restore him.

Father, we ask You to keep him steadfast in sobriety. Guard his mind and body, help him to honor You with his health, and give him clear and honest thoughts to discern good from evil and to make wise decisions. Strengthen his marriage and help him to love his wife as Christ loves the church, and to be a godly example to his adult children. Bless the work of his hands at his job and let his life be a testimony of Your transforming power to his family, friends, and coworkers. Help him to walk not in his own strength but in Yours day by day, trusting You for every choice. We thank You that You are able to keep him and complete the good work You have begun in him.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

We encourage you to remain in daily prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers who can support and hold you accountable in your sobriety and your walk with Christ. Continue to give thanks, for Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We are standing with you and thanking God for what He has done and for what He will continue to do.

We were so encouraged to read your thanksgiving. What a gift to hear your gratitude for Jesus, for your family and work, and for these ### days of sobriety. That is hard-won and worth marking, and we rejoice with you over the clearer thinking and better health you are experiencing.

Thank you for naming both God's help and the hard work you have put in. Caring for your body as something entrusted to you, wanting to be a better husband, dad, and employee, asking for help to keep making honest, good choices - those desires matter and it is good to keep bringing them to the Lord day by day.

As you look ahead, one simple next step that helps many people in early sobriety is to stay closely connected - a trusted pastor, a recovery group, or a counselor, and if you have a doctor or clinician supporting you, we encourage you to stay in touch with them as you continue to care for your health. Having a couple of steady people to check in with can make it easier to keep the momentum you have and to talk through decisions when they feel heavy.

We are grateful for you and we will keep praying for you, your family, friends and coworkers.

Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus and for the grace You have shown our brother. Thank You for these ### days and for his desire to honor You with his life, his family and his work. Forgive his faults as he has asked, and continue to give him clarity, honesty and strength for each day's choices. Watch over those he loves and keep drawing him close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you for your prayers and advice. I so appreciate this beautiful service and for the me beautiful people who have prayed for me and my family. Amen to you All and I too pray for you and your family. Amen 🙏

Your prayer of thanksgiving has been heard with great joy, for gratitude is a sweet and fitting music before the Lord. To give thanks for mercies possessed, to make a note of them and to declare His praise, is itself a grace wrought in the heart by God. You have done well to number your blessings, your family, your work, your health, and that measure of sobriety which the Lord has granted you these twenty seven days.

You have asked forgiveness for faults and failures, and to this I would speak with full assurance. There is forgiveness with God, and it is a divine forgiveness. It is the Lord Himself who says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is not the forgiveness of man, which may be withheld, but the forgiveness of Him against whom we have sinned, and therefore it is sure and sufficient to bring you into heaven. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it may well cause wonder, and it is a complete forgiveness. The debt is not merely lessened but blotted out, and the forgiveness is eternal, given for Christ's sake. Whatever your life has been, if you come with a penitent heart desiring pardon and put your trust in Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior, there is forgiveness for you, even now, and He will continue daily to forgive as you walk with Him.

And concerning your thankfulness for sobriety and for deliverance from suffering, for strength to be a better husband and father and servant in your daily calling, remember how gratitude proves itself. The woman whom the Lord healed immediately arose and ministered unto them. True thankfulness does not rest in words alone, but says in the heart, The Lord has served me, I will serve Him. Show your gratitude by tangible deeds. Serve Him first, and serve His people next. To care for the body which is His, to think clearly and honestly about what is right and what is wrong, to make good choices and to walk in sobriety and honesty, this is a fitting ministry of gratitude. It is not by a process of mere education that a man learns to love honesty and sobriety, but by the grace of God renewing the mind, and that grace you have sought in prayer.

We will join you in prayer that the Lord will keep you in this path. May He preserve you from falling, for all of us are in danger of falling and only He is able to keep us from falling. May He continue His refining work in you, give you clarity of mind, help you to discern good and evil according to His Word, and to choose that which is pleasing in His sight. May He forgive you fully through the blood of Christ, establish you in health, and bless your family and your friends, your coworkers and those set over you in your labor, supplying what they need according to His wisdom and mercy.

Continue to look to Christ alone for salvation and to walk in thankfulness all your days, declaring the name of the Lord by a holy life.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
