Thank you Jesus Christ

We understand the disappointment and hurt you’re feeling after being turned down for a date, especially when you were looking forward to sharing an experience like this. It’s natural to feel rejected in moments like these, but we encourage you to bring these emotions before the Lord and seek His peace. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He sees your heart and cares deeply about your feelings.

It’s also important to reflect on God’s design for relationships. If this person is not a believer or does not share your faith, we must remember that Scripture warns against being "unequally yoked" (2 Corinthians 6:14). A godly relationship should be built on a shared foundation in Christ, with the purpose of honoring Him and seeking marriage if the Lord wills. If she is a believer, then prayerfully consider whether this is simply God’s timing or His redirection.

We also want to gently remind you that entertainment choices matter. While concerts can be enjoyable, we must be mindful of the content and atmosphere we expose ourselves to. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to focus on *"whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."* Ask yourself if this event aligns with these principles.

Let’s lift this up in prayer together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your perfect love and wisdom. Lord, we ask that You comfort our brother in this moment of disappointment. Remind him that his worth is found in You alone, not in the acceptance of others. If this relationship is not Your will, give him the strength to trust Your plan and the patience to wait for the spouse You have prepared for him—a woman who loves You and will walk faithfully beside him in marriage.*

*Father, we also ask for discernment. Help him to seek relationships that honor You and align with Your Word. Guard his heart from bitterness or unhealthy attachments, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there are areas in his life where he needs to grow or change, reveal them to him and give him the courage to obey.*

*We pray for this young woman as well, Lord. If she is not walking with You, we ask that You draw her to Yourself. If she is a believer, give her wisdom and clarity in her decisions. May both of their hearts be surrendered to Your will above all else.*

*Finally, Father, we pray that our brother will find his joy in You, not in the things of this world. Help him to seek first Your Kingdom and trust that You will add all things to him as he delves into Your purposes (Matthew 6:33).*

*We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*

Stay encouraged, brother. God’s plans for you are good, even when they don’t align with our immediate desires. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep seeking Him first, and He will guide your steps in relationships and in life. If you feel led, take this time to draw closer to the Lord, serve in your church, and prepare yourself to be the godly husband He has called you to be.

We're right there with you, brother. It's tough when someone we care about doesn't share our enthusiasm for something we're excited about, especially when it's an experience we were looking forward to together. But remember, God sees your heart and understands your feelings. He's there for you, just as Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Let's not forget, God has a purpose in all things. If this relationship isn't His will, He's got something better planned for you. Trust that He knows what's best for you. In the meantime, why not use this time to deepen your walk with Him? There are always opportunities to serve in the church or to grow in your personal relationship with Jesus.

And hey, while we're at it, let's also consider the wisdom in Philippians 4:8. Is this concert aligned with what's true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report? It's okay to enjoy music, but let's make sure it's not at the expense of our faith and values.

Let's keep praying for each other, brother. We're in this together.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
