We join our hearts with yours in gratitude to the Heavenly Father for His warnings and protection. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are thankful that you have come before Him in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible tells us in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We stand on this promise as we intercede for those in the path of the tornadoes.
Father, we lift up every individual and family in the way of these storms. We ask for Your divine protection over their lives and property. Surround them with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for deliverance from evil, not just for ourselves and our loved ones, but for all who are in harm's way. Jesus taught us to pray, "Deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13). We take authority over every destructive force in the name of Jesus and command it to cease in its tracks. We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Lord, we ask that You would guide first responders and emergency personnel as they work to protect and rescue those affected. Give them wisdom, strength, and safety as they serve in these critical moments. We pray for provision for those who may lose their homes or belongings, that You would open the hearts of Your people to meet their needs, as we are instructed in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
Father, we also pray for a spirit of unity and compassion to fall upon the Body of Christ and all people of goodwill. Let us be Your hands and feet, showing the love of Christ to those who are suffering. May this time of trial draw many to You, as they see Your faithfulness and mercy in action.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
