Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing it before our Father in heaven through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we may come to Him.
We pray for you as you consider bringing your widowed father into your home. To honor your father in his old age is a good and holy duty before God, and it is right to seek wisdom. We ask the Lord to grant you wisdom from above, not the wisdom of this world which passes away, but the wisdom that comes from the Spirit, so you may make decisions with love, clear boundaries and peace. We pray that He would guard your home from chaos and give you and your father grace to dwell together in patience and kindness, and that His peace would rule in your household.
We lift up your children to the Lord. For your son, we pray not that his worth would rest in his height or in comparison with others, but that he would know he is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God and find confidence and security in Christ. We ask God to provide him with faithful Christian friends who will encourage him to walk in truth and keep him grounded in the Word. For your older daughter, we pray that she would find her confidence and love for herself not in the opinions of others but in who she is in Christ, that she would find her voice in Him, and that the Lord would give her clarity and motivation as she looks to colleges and prepares for exams, using her gifts for His glory. For your younger daughter, we pray that she would love what God loves, choose the path of wisdom, follow the Lord's way for her, and grow in diligence in her studies.
We also bring your anxiety before the Lord. He invites you to cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you. We pray that He would replace anxiety with His peace that passes understanding and make you a steady and gentle mother rooted in His strength, not your own.
For your business, we pray that you would work heartily as for the Lord, with integrity and excellence, serving your clients faithfully so that your work reflects Christ and truly helps those entrusted to you. We pray that God would provide for your needs according to His riches and teach you contentment in whatever He provides. True abundance is not found in having more wealth to work less and enjoy life more for ourselves, but in seeking first His kingdom, being rich toward God, and stewarding health, time and resources to rest well and enjoy the life He has given in a way that honors Him. We ask Him to grant you health and daily provision according to His good will.
We will continue to pray that you seek first His kingdom and trust that He will supply what you need, and that your family would grow in love for God and for one another.
In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
