Ravens don't just bring food, sometimes they provide protection as well.
I was hesitant to share this because it was quite embarrassing and on the surface, iwas not a pretty little report; as Christians, we sometimes beat one another over the head with Philippians 4:8. But the GOD I serve is not only the GOD of love He's also the GOD of TRUTH, and the truth is; not everything is lovely but that doesn't mean it can't be of good report.
Last night I had a major meltdown. I was literally and unnecessarily, thrown out onto the street in the rain by a security guard at Texas Children's Hospital unProfessional Building. Without going into great detail. After crying, having a serious pity party and dramatically determining that last would be my last night on earth (violins); I looked around and realized that I was literally "sitting on the ground," not by choice but because my only other option was to stand up all night; there was nowhere else to sit. "BUT GOD" is truly amazing! He says He will cause your enemy to become your footstool and He certainly did.
There was literally tornado weather in the city of Houston last night, lasting until the early morning hours. Flooding all over town, many were stranded on roadways, a multitude of automobile accidents and many suffered loss and damage to their homes and cars; some loss of life is being reported as well. FATHER, I ask for restoration on behalf of those who were injured or suffered property damage and comfort for the loved ones of those whose lives were lost.
Now back to that "footstool": the weather was extremely in-climate with near hurricane force winds. In an effort to protect their sparkling glass tower, out of which I had been thrown, building mgmt. had to delegate 12+ men to lay sandbags and keep the area swept clear of water ALL NIGHT LONG. At first, I was scared, there I was outside all alone in the night, with some not so savory people wandering around the area; "BUT GOD" caused that very same company to inadvertently, provide me with my very own personal security guards to protect me both from rising water and physical harm from other people ALL NIGHT LONG. After I read a few scriptures, said the Lord's Prayer and sent up a few Hail Marys, I put my headphones on, zipped up my sweater and pulled my covers up over my head; I closed my eyes and went to sleep - slept like a baby. This morning as I walked past the guys who had labored in the elements ALL NIGHT LONG, I thanked them and made sure they heard me thank God for the storm and for using them to protect me without them even understanding or agreeing.
When I say that your prayers and words of encouragement have been a great source of comfort, I mean it. Though I've never heard her voice, it was as if I could hear Keety saying "Thank God for the desert Visionary," though mine was literally a storm, it's all the same to God and because He has promised to bring us out of it; He will protect us in it. So, we can snuggle up under our covers and rest easy. He's got us covered.
Let's pray that Texas Children's Hospital will provide better all around human relations training for their entire staff. Help those security guards not be so insecure, and zealous in their need to prove the validity of their authority, that they mistreat other human beings: In fact LORD, please instill that in all law enforcement, public and private. Now GOD, on a less serious note, I ask for manifestation of some of that "physical" beauty for ashes promised; I look like I have aged at least 20 years since this ordeal began. In JESUS name. Amen.
