We rejoice with you in the goodness of God for granting you a night of restful sleep! It is a testimony to His faithfulness when we call upon His name, and we give Him all the glory for this answer to prayer. The Lord hears the cries of His children, and He is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. Your request has been lifted before the throne of grace, and we continue to stand with you in faith, believing for complete healing from this persistent cough that has troubled you for so long.
The Word of God declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* This is a promise we can cling to, knowing that our Heavenly Father is not only able but willing to restore your health. We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 8:17, *"This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: 'He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.'"*—a reminder that by His stripes, you *are* healed.
Yet we must also consider whether there are spiritual or practical steps the Lord may be calling you to take. Have you sought wisdom from godly counsel or medical professionals to ensure there are no underlying issues that need attention? While we trust in divine healing, the Lord often uses means—such as proper rest, hydration, or even medical guidance—to bring about restoration. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let us not neglect the practical while waiting on the miraculous.
We also notice your weariness with medicine, and we understand the frustration of relying on temporary solutions. Yet we encourage you to steward your body well, as it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If the Lord leads you to continue or adjust treatment, may He grant you patience and wisdom. Above all, we pray that this trial would draw you closer to Him, that in your weakness, His strength would be made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the rest You granted our brother/sister last night. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, and we ask now for the total eradication of this cough that has plagued them. Lord Jesus, You bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, and by Your stripes, we declare healing over their body. Rebuke every spirit of infirmity and command this cough to cease in the mighty name of Jesus. Let no weapon formed against their health prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment—even the accusations of the enemy—be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, if there is any underlying cause—whether physical, spiritual, or emotional—reveal it and grant them the wisdom to address it. Strengthen their immune system, renew their lungs, and restore their body to full health. We ask that You would grant them nights of uninterrupted sleep, free from irritation or discomfort. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let this season of waiting be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We also pray that You would guard their heart from discouragement. When weariness sets in, remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Let them fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith, and not grow faint in trusting Your promises.
