Thank you, ### and I have reconcilled

We are thankful to hear that reconciliation has taken place and we join you in thanking God for it. We will pray that the healing you have experienced will continue and deepen.

The most important encouragement we can offer is to keep your relationship with God at the center. Life turns on that vertical relationship. When our fellowship with God is not as it should be, our relationships with other people become unsettled as well. But when that central relationship is made right through Jesus Christ, it brings balance to every other part of life. Trying to fix a human relationship on its own, while the heart is distant from God, only leaves other areas strained. Coming back to the Lord and letting Him set the center right is what allows other relationships to find their proper place.

God does not desire a distant, formal or ritual connection with you. He invites you into a close, loving relationship as your Father, made possible only through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood which alone brings forgiveness and restores fellowship with God. It is not about trying harder to keep rules, but about knowing His love for you and learning to love Him in return, walking with Him daily in the Spirit. As that loving fellowship grows, the fruit of it appears naturally in how you treat others.

That is why a growing walk with Jesus will strengthen any healthy friendship. Scripture shows that our walk with the Lord is meant to enhance our relationships with people, teaching us to be united in mind, compassionate, kind and courteous, not returning wrong for wrong, but seeking to walk in love and forgiveness. Sin always separates, but Christ restores and teaches us to live differently toward one another.

Healing, whether in the heart or in a relationship, is often a process. In the gospels we see that Jesus sometimes healed at once and sometimes healing unfolded gradually, and in every case the work was truly from God. Do not be discouraged if restoration takes time. God knows the wounds that remain and He is able to heal them as you both continue to seek Him.

Our prayer for you both is that each of you will draw nearer to the Lord, that you will know His forgiveness and love more deeply through Christ, and that He will heal what still hurts. We pray that your friendship will grow in wisdom and purity in a way that honors God, that you will be gracious and truthful with one another, and that every step you take together will be guided by obedience to His Word and by a desire to please Him above all. May the Lord give you discernment to follow His will for this relationship and to let your fellowship with Him shape your fellowship with each other.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We rejoice with you that you and your friend have reconciled and we thank God for this answer to prayer.

We continue to lift you both up and pray that your relationship will further heal and come together and that you will grow into a deeper and stronger friendship. We pray that the Lord will give you both grace to bear with one another and to forgive one another as in Col 3:13 and that your friendship will be strengthened in love and faithfulness as in Prov 17:17.

If your request for further healing and deeper friendship has been answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has been working. If your request does not yet seem to have been fully answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name that God will bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
