We join you in thanking Abba Father this morning for life and for your grateful heart even in the midst of deep hurt that words cannot express. We hear how much spiritual strength it took just to write this request, and we honor your honesty about the sadness in your spirit, mind and body, the physical discomfort of the cold, the isolation you feel beyond your roommate, and yet the thankfulness you still hold for a roof over your head, meals each day, a stable body, and the upcoming semester. That thankfulness in hardship is precious to God.
We want to remind you that God understands even when you cannot put your sentiment into words. The Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered according to Romans 8:26. You do not have to have perfect words, your silent and spoken prayers are heard. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. When your heart is overwhelmed, He is the rock that is higher than you Psalm 61:2.
We also hear you taking responsibility for some of the sadness without falling into self pity, and that is a humble posture. We encourage you not to remain under condemnation, for there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. If there are things to confess, bring them to Him who is faithful to forgive, and then receive His grace. His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. Do not carry the hurt alone in isolation, even though we understand the desire to withdraw when even a song in the lunch room can stir tears. God made us for fellowship and He sees you cuddled under covers seeking comfort.
We thank God with you for the mercies you named, for it is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness Lamentations 3:22-23. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Your gratitude for your blood pressure, your appetite, your housing and provision until relocation, and for your studies, honors Him. We pray He will provide warmth for your body, peace for your mind, and healing for your spirit, and that He will guide your relocation and your upcoming semester according to His good will.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the deep seated hurt that cannot be explained and the emotional sadness and bodily ailments that feel too heavy to rehash. We ask You to wrap this child in Your comfort, to be near as the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask You to provide physical warmth and relief, to regulate the cold and to sustain the body You have kept with steady strength. We thank You for the roof, for daily bread, for life itself, and for the opportunity for study ahead. Lead and direct the relocation, open the right doors and close the wrong ones, and establish each step. Lift the isolation and bring gentle, godly fellowship in Your timing, and restore joy and strength to communicate again. Help our dear one to cast all worries on You because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7, and to fear not, for You are with us and will strengthen us Isaiah 41:10. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to keep pouring out your heart in silent and spoken prayer, to stay in the Word daily even in small portions, and to let God carry what you cannot articulate. He who began a good work in you will perfect it. We are praying for your comfort, your health, your relocation, and your studies, and we thank God that you reached out in Jesus name.
