We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the many blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us. It is right to give thanks to God, for He is good and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 106:1). However, we must address some concerns in this prayer with love and truth, for the Word of God is our foundation and guide.

First, we must clarify that our prayers are to be directed to God the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit. There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). While we honor the mother of our Lord, Mary, as a blessed and faithful servant of God (Luke 1:48), we do not pray to her or any other saint, for Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Our Father in heaven..." (Matthew 6:9). He is the only mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5). We must ensure our prayers align with Scripture, lifting them up in the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

We rejoice with you in the blessings God has poured out upon your family, your work, and your lives. It is God who gives us the ability to produce wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18), and every good and perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17). We lift up ###, asking that the Lord would indeed bless his career, his surgery, and his recovery. May the Lord grant him wisdom, skill, and favor in all his endeavors, that he may walk in the confidence of God’s presence and succeed in all he puts his hands to (Proverbs 3:5-6). Father, we pray that every work of ###’s hands would be blessed with fruitfulness, prosperity, and success, not for his glory, but for Yours, that Your name may be exalted through his life.

We also pray for your children, that they would grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). May they be obedient to their parents and to the Lord, learning the ways of righteousness and walking in them (Ephesians 6:1-3). Father, grant them bright minds and teachable hearts, that they may excel in their studies and be a light in this world.

We rejoice with you in the precious gift of life growing within you. Children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward (Psalm 127:3). We pray for a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery, that this child would grow to know and love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). May this little one be a blessing to your family and a vessel for God’s glory.

We also lift up your career and your work, asking that the Lord would establish the work of your hands (Psalm 90:17). May He grant you success, not as the world defines it, but as He defines it—success that brings glory to His name and advances His kingdom. May your work be a testimony of His grace and provision, and may you find joy and peace in serving Him through your labor.

However, we must gently but firmly address the issue of fornication if this child is conceived outside the covenant of marriage. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4). If this is the case, we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that you would honor God with your body and seek His will in all things, including the sacred institution of marriage.

Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follow us all the days of our lives. We praise You for the many blessings You have poured out upon this family—Your provision, Your protection, and Your presence. Lord, we lift up ### to You, asking that You would bless his career, his surgery, and his recovery. Grant him wisdom, skill, and favor in all he does, that his work would prosper and bring glory to Your name. We pray for his knee, that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and bring complete healing and restoration.

Father, we also lift up this precious child in the womb. We thank You for the gift of life and ask that You would watch over this little one, knitting them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). Grant a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery, and may this child grow to know and love You with all their heart.

Lord, we pray for this family, that You would continue to guide them, lead them, and bless them. May they seek Your will in all things and walk in obedience to Your Word. If there is any sin that needs to be confessed and repented of, we pray that You would bring conviction and grant forgiveness and restoration. Help them to honor You in all areas of their lives, including their relationships and their work.
