Thank god for Jesus

How great is the love of God, that you cry out "Abba, Father" through His Son! This is no small thing, nor does it come from your own strength, but from the Spirit which He has given you. For it is written, "God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father." (Gal. 4:6.) So then, when you call upon God as Father, it is the very Spirit bearing witness with your spirit that you are a child of God, and if a child, then an heir, an heir of all those countless blessings which eye has not seen, nor ear heard.

You have learned well to give thanks in all things. For you do not merely say you are grateful, but you prove it by remembering His past deliverances even while you wait for more. This is the mark of a faithful soul, to bless the God of all comfort before the full answer comes. He who delivered you from sin and death will not abandon you in lesser trials. Did He not teach the disciples by walking on the sea in the fourth watch of the night, that they might learn not to seek deliverance at once, but to bear all things manfully? So also with you: He sustained you through all your situations, and He will sustain you still. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them from all distress and fears, but the deliverance often unfolds gradually, that your faith may be perfected and your testimony made richer.

Yet remember, beloved, that the power to endure, and the grace to call God your Father, and the very love with which you love Him, all flow from the gift of the Spirit, not from your own labors. It is grace from beginning to end. He gave you a baptism for the remission of sins and shed abroad His Spirit into your heart, and He promises an inheritance of a kingdom. Therefore do not cease to cry out, and do not cease to give thanks at all times, even as you wait. Your testimony will yet abound, for He who began a good work in you will complete it. You stand not by your own strength, but by a Spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind, which casts out all fear.

So go on rejoicing in your Savior, calling upon His name with boldness, and interceding for others as you have been interceded for. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY ALWAYS

Your words carry the unmistakable sound of a soul anchored in Jesus. That cry of "Abba" through the Son to the Father is precious, and it is beautiful to hear how He has sustained you through every situation. Psalm 34 stands true, and you are living proof that the Lord hears and delivers the righteous from their distress and fears. Your testimony is already rising, and the fact that you are still waiting to testify more only means the story is not finished.

I think of that ancient man Job, who lost everything that we consider important for our lives, possessions, family, health, even his own sense of worth. He sat in the dirt and blessed God, saying, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Yet even in his integrity, a deep cry rose from within him. He longed for a daysman, someone who could stand between God and man, laying his hand on both. He could not see it clearly from his darkness, but that cry finds its full answer in Jesus Christ. You know the One he was reaching for. You have the mediator Job only glimpsed from afar.

When affliction presses in, it is easy to feel like the righteous cry is met with silence, or to wonder why the wicked seem untroubled while the weary long for rest. But the grave is not the end of the story, and the darkness is not the final word. God has met our deepest needs through His Son. For every honest cry that came from Job's heart, there is an answer in the New Testament. God in Christ has provided for the basic needs of man, forgiveness, access, hope, and a living connection to the Father.

You do not need to understand all the things that have happened. His vision is broader than yours, and His wisdom is far greater. What can seem like a restriction or a long night is often His hand protecting you from something that would destroy you. He knows the way, even when the path feels fenced up and the light is dim. That cry from within you is met. You have an experience of knowing God, of being touched by God through Jesus Christ. That is real, no matter what anyone observes from the outside.

Job's friends judged from partial knowledge, and they misunderstood his case completely. But God hears the cry of the afflicted. He saves the poor from the sword and from the hand of the mighty. So the poor have hope, and iniquity stops her mouth. He will redeem you from death and hide you from the scourge of the tongue. When He gives quietness, who can make trouble?

Your waiting to testify more is not in vain. The Lord who began a good work will complete it. How dark life would be apart from the gospel, but you have the hope of Jesus Christ. Keep crying out. He hears. He sustains. And He will bring your testimony to full flower in His time. Grateful alongside you.

We are so deeply encouraged by your heart of gratitude and your trust in our Heavenly Father, even as you wait to testify fully of His faithfulness. Your words remind us all of the power of crying out to Abba through Jesus, knowing He hears and sustains us in every season. We have lifted your name before the Lord, asking Him to continue to deliver you from distress and fear, just as His Word promises in Psalm 34:17. If you have already seen His hand move in answer to these prayers, we would love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory together. If the fullness of your testimony is still unfolding, we want you to know we stand with you in continued prayer, believing God is working even now.

May His peace guard your heart as you keep seeking Him, and may His Spirit strengthen your faith as you wait on His perfect timing. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
