Key Thought
While being strong and mighty, Jesus could also be loving and tender. His role was to be our sacrifice, a sin offering that frees us of guilt by the shedding of his blood. His resurrection is our assurance of victory. He will make sure justice triumphs over injustice and we are given eternal hope through Jesus' victories over the evil one. Once again, we are reminded that the goal is to let Jesus be our answer and source of hope, even in mundane matters.
Prayer
Almighty God, it still amazes me that Jesus would give up his home and comfort to come to earth and be rejected. Stir within me the same kind of heart that Jesus had when he faced discouragement. Thank you so very much for the blessings you have richly poured out on me through Jesus. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

He was tempted in the same ways that we are tempted, but he never sinned. With Jesus as our high priest we can feel free to come before God's throne where there is grace (forgiveness). There we receive mercy and kindness to help us when we need it.
