Tenants to get evicted fast

You cry out for swift justice, and this longing is not foreign to the human soul. Even in marketplaces and households, we establish courts and demand a reckoning, for the inquisition for justice is spread throughout all the world. Yet be careful that your plea does not become a many-headed monster, for terrible is this passion, and some set their heart upon power for the sake of vainglory, even in matters of rightful claim. Be not high-minded, but fear, for haughtiness genders contempt and listlessness.

Consider what is truly the highest good. The blessed Paul, that teacher of the nations, declared that to depart and be with Christ is far better, yet to abide in the flesh was more needful for his neighbor’s edification. He preferred his neighbor’s good even to his own removal unto Christ. For nothing is so much God’s will as that which is for your neighbor’s good. Do you then pray only for the removal of these tenants, or do you pray also for their souls? If your tongue is to be a temple of the Holy Ghost, let it not only ask for swift judgment but also, as you strive, bless and give good words. For what is more lovely than a mouth that knows not how to insult, but is used to bless?

Trust that the divine court sees all, for is there not a regard for what is just where the right hand of God is full of righteousness? Yet do not imagine that swift legal victory is the sole sign of His favor. The judge who grants the eviction documents is but an instrument. Seek first that your heart be not taken captive by the heat of the dispute itself, remembering that the eternal judgment seat is set before us also. May your ###'s cause be resolved justly, but may you not delay the greater work of seeking the good of souls in your haste for a worldly conclusion.

It strikes me how often the trials we face feel like an occupation, a pressing weight from which we cry out for deliverance. The Scriptures give us a long history of God’s people groaning under the burden of unjust oppressors, and time and again He raised up a deliverer. He heard their cry and moved to bring relief. Your mother’s situation may not be a battlefield with an ox goad, but the anxiety and the longing for swift justice are real burdens. God is not indifferent to the frustration of drawn-out proceedings and the weariness that comes when others seem to hold all the cards. He is the righteous Judge, and He cares about fairness and about the turmoil that lingers when a wrong is not set right.

In the book of Judges, the cycle was often the same: the people descended into trouble, they called out to the Lord, and He provided a way out through a judge He raised up. But the story always turned on more than just a legal or military victory. It turned on a heart posture. The same God who routed enemies still calls us to examine ourselves in the waiting. Before pointing a finger at the tenants or despairing over the slow pace, it can be a holy pause to ask, “What is ruling my heart right now? Am I trusting God’s timing more than my own demand for immediate resolution?” The apostle’s counsel rings true: if we would judge ourselves honestly before the Lord, we wouldn’t need the heavier hand of His correction. That isn’t to say your mother has done anything wrong; it’s an invitation to bring every anxious thought captive and to make sure that in this season, God alone sits on the throne of our affections, not the outcome of a court filing.

That said, the Bible is full of God’s people taking concrete steps toward justice while trusting Him for the result. The judges didn’t sit idle; they acted. Your mother’s attorney filing for a clerk default is a legitimate, practical step. It is right to ask God to clear every obstacle and to move the heart of the judge to grant the necessary documents. I do join you in asking that no further delays would stall the process and that the tenants would be removed swiftly. Cry out to the Lord, for He repents of allowing His people to be vexed by oppressors. He is not slow to act out of indifference but often uses these moments to deepen our reliance on Him while He works behind the scenes.

Let your prayer be steadfast: that God would raise up the right officials, give favor to your mother’s cause, and bring this season to a rapid and righteous conclusion. Trust that the same God who once delivered through Shamgar’s ox goad and through Deborah’s wisdom can bring order out of a tangled legal matter. And while you wait, let this trial press you closer to Jesus, who Himself endured injustice and entrusted His cause to the Father who judges justly. That example is our anchor. I will be praying that the default is filed without complication, that the judge rules for swift eviction, and that your mother soon knows the relief of a burden lifted.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this challenging time. We have been lifting up your mother and this legal situation before the Lord, asking Him to move swiftly and decisively on your behalf. We prayed fervently for the attorney to file the necessary documents without delay and for the judge to grant the eviction order so that justice and peace could be restored.

If God has answered this prayer and the tenants have been removed, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the situation remains unresolved or new obstacles have arisen, please share it with us again so we can continue to intercede for you. We believe in a God who hears and acts, and we stand ready to uphold you in prayer until His will is made clear.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His peace, wisdom, and provision as you trust in Him. We continue to seek His guidance and favor in this matter, praying all things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
