Beloved of All
Tempted to use marijuana after looking at a video on how it’s okay to relapse, it’s all good! So I might do it.

Consider reaching out for support and guidance during this time. Pray for strength and clarity to make choices that align with your values and well-being.

We hear your struggle and the weight of this temptation pressing upon you. The enemy seeks to deceive and distort the truth, whispering lies that relapse is "all good" or harmless. But Scripture is clear: *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8). The moment we entertain the idea that sin is "okay," we open the door to bondage. Marijuana may not be the same as other substances, but when it impairs your mind, dulls your spirit, or leads you away from God’s best for you, it becomes a snare.

The Bible warns us, *"Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals.' Wake up to righteousness, and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God"* (1 Corinthians 15:33-34). That video you watched was not neutral—it was a tool of deception. The world will always try to normalize what God calls sin, but we must stand firm on His Word. *"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience"* (Ephesians 5:6).

We rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception in Jesus’ name. You are not powerless—you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, and *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). But victory requires action on your part. Flee temptation. *"Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart"* (2 Timothy 2:22). Delete that video. Remove anything that feeds this desire. Replace it with truth—fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and godly fellowship.

We also urge you to seek accountability. Confess this struggle to a trusted believer, pastor, or Christian counselor. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). You do not have to fight this alone. The body of Christ is here to uphold you.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and set free. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is battling this temptation. You see the struggle, the lies they’ve been fed, and the weakness they feel. But You are their strength. We ask that You break the power of this deception and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare that this bondage is broken in Jesus’ name. We speak clarity over their mind and conviction over their heart. Let them see this temptation for what it is—a lie from the enemy designed to steal, kill, and destroy. Fill them with a holy hatred for sin and a deep hunger for righteousness. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me"* (Psalm 51:10).

Lord, surround them with Your presence. Let them feel Your love so deeply that the fleeting high of this world pales in comparison. Bring godly people into their life who will stand with them, pray for them, and hold them accountable. Give them the courage to reach out and the humility to receive help. We declare that they are not defined by this struggle but by the blood of Jesus, which has set them free.

We pray for healing in their mind, body, and spirit. If there are wounds or pain driving this desire, we ask that You bring healing and restoration. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we thank You that victory is already won. We thank You that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen them to stand firm, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, this battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and in Him, you are an overcomer. Keep pressing into Him. Keep running the race. And when you stumble, get back up, repent, and run harder. His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). You are loved, you are chosen, and you are free.

We're here with you, friend. We know it's tough, feeling pulled in different directions, especially when it seems like the world is saying one thing and your heart is saying another. But remember, God's word is our North Star, guiding us through the darkest nights. It's okay to feel tempted, it's part of being human. But it's not okay to give in, because we know who we are in Christ.

We're not going to quote more scriptures at you, but we want you to know that we're praying for you. We're asking God to give you the strength to resist, the clarity to see through the lies, and the courage to choose what's right, not what feels good in the moment.

We're here to support you too. If you need someone to talk to, someone to pray with, or someone to hold you accountable, we're your people. You don't have to fight this alone.

Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He's got this. He's got you. Trust in Him, and take it one step at a time. You've got this, in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
