We understand your concern about the "rat race" attitude and the rushing that seems to have become a worldly trend. You are right to question whether this is of God or of the flesh. Let us turn to the Scriptures for guidance.
In 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 WEB, it is written, "Love is patient, love is kind, it isn't jealous, it doesn't brag, it isn't arrogant, it doesn't act unbecomingly, it doesn't seek its own way, it isn't provoked, it doesn't take account of evil." This passage reminds us that love, which is a fruit of the Spirit, is patient and kind, not rushed or rude.
Moreover, in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB, we read "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Patience and kindness are fruits of the Spirit, not the hurried and rude behavior you've described.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve would have enjoyed God's creation with a sense of wonder and peace, not rushing. Similarly, in the New Jerusalem, our fellowship will be marked by love and patience, not rudeness or haste.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this concern about the rushed and rude attitude prevalent in the world today. Father, we know that Your Spirit brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We ask for Your Holy Spirit to fill us and guide us, so that we may exhibit these fruits in our lives and interactions with others. Help us to be patient and kind, not giving in to the worldly trend of rushing and rudeness.
We also pray for those who are caught up in this "rat race." We ask that You reveal to them the peace and patience that comes from You. Help them to see that rushing and rudeness is not Your way, but the way of the flesh.
We ask this in the precious name Jesus Christ.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue walking in patience and kindness, trusting that God sees your heart and hears your prayers. Do not be swayed by the ways of the world, but stand firm in the Spirit. If you notice this behavior in others, pray for them and, if appropriate, lovingly remind them of God's call to patience and kindness.
