We have heard your heart in this request and we are standing with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus name. You have shared so much pain at once, pain in your teeth and gums and head, pain in your mind, feeling like the worst sinner, feeling worthless without work, feeling attacked, feeling like God is a billion miles away, financial pressure to pay your mobile phone bill and other bills, longing to be spiritually whole and longing to have children while a relationship you hoped for now feels dead. We want to bring all of this to God with you.
First we want to gently address something important. You speak of God but you do not mention Jesus Christ in your request. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture says Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You feel like the worst sinner ever, but Romans 3:23 tells us for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. The apostle Paul himself said 1 Timothy 1:15 Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. You are not beyond His forgiveness. When we repent and trust in Jesus, we are fully forgiven and made new.
You also share that you feel worthless physically and mentally because you have no work and have had what you call useless jobs, and that you feel God is far away. Those feelings are real, but they are not the truth about who you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, created in the image of God, Genesis 1:27, and your worth is not measured by a job or a bank balance. God is not far from you. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. James 4:8 promises Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Even when you cannot feel Him, He is near, and He cares about every bill and every ache. Philippians 4:19 reminds us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
We also hear your distress about your mind, that you cannot think clearly and you feel a demonic attack on your body, your teeth and gums and health. We do believe the enemy attacks and seeks to steal peace, but we also know that greater is He who is in us. 1 John 4:4 says greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you that you are worthless, that you are unforgiven, that God has abandoned you, and that your body must remain under torment. Those lies are not from God. At the same time we encourage you to seek proper dental and medical care for your teeth, gums and head while we pray for healing, for God often works through those means as well.
You mention longing to make cakes, needing work and money, and so longing to have children while the relationship you mention feels dead as you describe. We want to encourage you here with biblical truth about Gods design. Your desire to work with your hands and to create is good. Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray God opens a door for honest work, whether that is making cakes or other provision, and that He guides you to steward it faithfully. Seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you, Matthew 6:33. Regarding children, that longing is beautiful and God honoring, but Scripture teaches that children are a gift within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. We pray for a godly marriage for you if it is Gods will, a courtship that leads to marriage with a fellow believer in Christ, not a relationship outside of Gods design, and that any children would come within that lifelong commitment. If God told you about a specific person and that relationship has now ended, we encourage you to surrender that to the Lord, trust His sovereignty and His better plan, and ask Him to make His will clear. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. God is not cruel to tease you, He is faithful to lead you.
So together we pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come to You only through the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we thank You that through His blood we have forgiveness and access to Your throne. We lift up this dear one to You. Lord, forgive sins and cleanse according to 1 John 1:9, and let this heart know with assurance that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1. Break the heaviness of feeling like the worst sinner and feeling worthless, and replace it with the truth of being loved, chosen, and redeemed.
We pray for healing for teeth and gums that are so sensitive, for the head and for the whole body. Touch what is inflamed and painful and bring restoration. We pray for the mind, that You would grant clarity, peace, and soundness, casting out confusion and fear, and that any demonic oppression would flee at the name of Jesus. We submit this life to You, Lord, and we resist the enemy together, claiming Your promise that he must flee.
We pray for provision. You see the bank account, the mobile phone bill and all the other bills. Provide work, open doors for employment, bless the desire to make cakes and use gifts for Your glory. Give wisdom to steward finances and to trust You daily. We pray for spiritual wholeness, that You would fill the sense of being a billion miles away with Your nearness, Your comfort, and Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.
And Father, we pray for the longing for children and for a godly marriage. If it is Your will, provide a believing spouse, a marriage that honors You and reflects Christ and the church, and in Your timing grant children within that covenant. Heal the disappointment over the relationship that feels dead, give closure and hope, and help to wait well upon You.
We ask all of this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our hope and healer. Amen.
