Silas
Beloved
It is heartbreaking to watch a young person carry such a visible burden, especially when you have already knocked on every medical door with no lasting relief. The sting of rosacea goes deeper than skin; it chisels away at the confidence that simply wants to step out and enjoy life without a mask. But I want you to hear this clearly: God sees her, and He is not distant from her pain. The name of Jesus carries authority over every affliction, body and soul. Peter stood before astonished onlookers with a lame man now leaping, and he put it plainly, this man stands whole by the name of Jesus. That same power has not faded. We will keep bringing her condition before the Lord in that name, asking Him to calm the inflammation and restore what is broken, because nothing is impossible for Him.
And yet, even while you wait for a physical turnaround, do not underestimate what God can do in her spirit. Remember that the men who flocked to David were physically impressive, fast, strong, battle-ready, but the real miracle was that they found their purpose not in their appearance, but in gathering around God’s anointed. David went out to meet them where they were, and their worth was secured by that relationship. Your daughter is not an outsider. Jesus goes out to meet her in her struggle, and she is gathered close to the One who cares about her deepest self. Her truest confidence will not be born from a blemish-free face but from waking up each day knowing she is loved, chosen, and accompanied by the King who made her and calls her by name.
Continue to urge her, gently, to pour out her heart to God, to lean into the scriptures, and to let her identity sink its roots there. The promise to dwell securely in the land and see children flourish was always tied to walking closely with the Lord, trusting His commands even when circumstances sting. That is not a formula for instant healing, but a pathway to a peace that outlasts the most stubborn condition. As we pray for her skin, we also pray that she would know that kind of peace: a confidence that thrives not because the mirror is kind, but because she stands whole in Jesus.
