Wow, taxes sure have been a challenge and a stress inducer this year!! We have learned our lesson to just go ahead and do them ourselves instead of relying on someone else to do them for us!!
There is some speculation that the person who prepared them and supposedly filed them did so in their own favor and not in ours.
We will not be sure until we prepare and file them ourselves. We don't owe anything, so that is good. We suspect this person may have routed our return to her own bank account as we have not received anything back yet. The only fortunate piece is that the IRS website where you can track your return states that there is currently no status on the return (which means nothing has been filed). It's just very frustrating because we have trusted this person in the past, and this year they seem to have not been so honest with us.
I'm not a fan of money. I feel that it only brings trouble. Unfortunately this money we have been counting on, and the Lord knows that. Whatever happens, happens. I am thankful that the Lord brings me such a multitude of peace on such mishaps and I can only pray that my fiance allows the same peace to be granted to him as well.
