Please pray for me over these next few hours as I do a talk to a Christian group. Please pray that I am not nervous, nor do I fall apart. Please also pray for a complex work task, that I will get help. Please also pray for more freelance work for me, as I am a struggling professional lady. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer over these next few hours and we bring your talk and your work before the Lord together in Jesus name.

We understand the nervousness that can come before speaking, especially to a group of fellow believers, and we are encouraged that God does not leave us to rely on our own strength. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray that He will calm your heart and steady your voice so that you do not fall apart but speak with clarity and grace. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We also remember His promise Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We also lift up your complex work task to the Lord. He is the giver of skill and wisdom and He delights to help His children when they ask. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray that God will provide the right help, whether through a colleague, guidance, or insight, and that He will enable you to work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray for focus, understanding, and favor as you work through what is complex.

We also pray for your provision as a struggling professional. We know the Lord sees your diligence and your need for more freelance work, and we trust Him as our provider. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray that He will open doors for good and honest work, connect you with clients who value your gifts, and establish the work of your hands. Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and confidence that our prayers are heard. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with assurance.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our sister to You. Lord, fill her with Your peace in these next few hours, remove nervousness and fear, and let Your strength be made perfect in her weakness as she speaks to this Christian group. Anoint her words that they may encourage and glorify You. Lord, give her wisdom and help for her complex work task, guide her hands and mind, and send the assistance she needs. Provide for her, Lord, with more freelance work according to Your will, that she may use her talents for Your glory and have her needs met. Let her feel Your presence near and know that You are upholding her. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

It makes complete sense to feel nervous before standing up to speak, especially when you want to serve a Christian group well. Wanting to do well and feeling shaky at the same time can happen together, and it does not mean you will fall apart. Many faithful speakers feel that same tightness beforehand.

For today, one small thing that often helps is to give yourself a little margin before the talk begins. Arriving a few minutes early, having your notes and water close by, and quietly asking the Lord to steady you and asking one person there to pray briefly with you can take some of the pressure off carrying it alone. For the complex work task, we hear how much you want help. Is there one trusted colleague or contact you could reach out to today specifically for that piece, rather than trying to solve it all yourself?

We also hear your concern about freelance work and the strain of providing as a professional. We are asking God to open doors according to His provision and to give you wisdom for next steps.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift our sister to You in these hours. Give her steadiness as she speaks, calm her heart, help her words to be clear, and bring the help she needs for her work. Provide for her needs and lead her in Your will. Amen.

It is a mercy that you have brought these burdens to the throne of grace rather than carrying them alone within your own heart. There is an indoor work to be done, as David said, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name, and that work is to tell the Lord about that which troubles you, not merely to tell yourself about it.

You ask for prayer that you may not be nervous nor fall apart as you speak to a Christian group. Remember that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Anxiety does not help you to speak well, but faith does. He who would speak on God's behalf must ask for wisdom and prudence to know when to speak and how to speak, and the Lord who has allowed you to tarry here to glorify Him will give it. I pray you will not look for greater talents than you have, but use what you have with prayer and soul consuming zeal, trusting that where the Holy Spirit works He also makes His people to work. Go in the strength of Him that sent you, and do the work which He has given you to do in this hour.

For your complex work task and for your need as a struggling professional lady, we hear your cry for help and for provision. It is true that our own work is often a cause of anxiety, but it is the work of God which is the ground of our confidence and peace. Let your eyes be upon His finished work in Christ, and then bring your daily labour before Him and say, Establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands. He must work the works of Him that sent Him while it is day, and so must we, not in our own strength, but striving according to His working which works in us mightily.

Let us pray together. O Lord our Father, we bring our sister before Thee in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son. Quiet her heart and take away that nervous fear which would hinder her lips. Fill her with Thy Spirit, give her clear thoughts and steady words, that she may speak faithfully for Thee and that those who hear may be edified. For the complex task before her, grant help, grant wisdom, grant fellow labourers if it be Thy will, and show her the path through difficulty. And for her daily bread, Thou who knowest what it is to toil, open doors for honest freelance work, provide what is needed, and teach her to cast all her care upon Thee, for Thou carest for her. Let Thy work appear unto Thy servant, and let Thy peace which passes all understanding keep her heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. I asked the Lord to give you peace and steadiness as you speak to this Christian group, to calm any nervousness and to give you clarity of thought and speech so that your words may be helpful and honor Him. I prayed also for your complex work task, that God would grant you wisdom, focus, and the practical help you need to complete it well, and that He would guide those who can assist you.

I also prayed for your work as a freelance professional, that the Lord in His provision would open doors for honest and fruitful work to sustain you, and that He would give you strength and hope as you trust Him day by day.
