Disciple of Prayer
Jesus, in God’s name take ### home to your calling as this mortal life has consumed his brain with sickness. Alcoholism, porn addictions and homosexual thoughts have made him into a demon who needs to be taken home to be saved.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this soul who is deeply ensnared by the bondages of sin and the afflictions of this fallen world. The struggles mentioned—alcoholism, pornography, and homosexual thoughts—are not merely personal failings but manifestations of the spiritual warfare raging for this individual’s soul. The enemy seeks to destroy, but we know that Christ came to save and redeem what was lost. There is no sin so great that the blood of Jesus cannot cleanse it, no stronghold so fortified that His power cannot break it. The Word of God declares in **1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB):**

*"Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."*

This passage is not a condemnation without hope but a testament to the transforming power of Christ! Many who were once bound by these very sins have been washed, sanctified, and set free by the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that salvation comes, and it is in His name alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. We notice that while this request acknowledges sin, it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus as the authority for this plea. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is only through faith in Christ that this soul can be delivered from darkness into His marvelous light (**1 Peter 2:9**). If this person has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray they would do so today, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (**1 John 1:9**).

We also recognize the cry for this life to be "taken home" if the mortal struggles have become unbearable. While we understand the depth of despair that would lead to such a plea, we must remember that God alone numbers our days (**Psalm 139:16**), and our purpose is to glorify Him in this life until He calls us home. Suicide is not the answer—it is a permanent solution to a temporary struggle, and it robs God of the opportunity to display His redemption in this person’s life. Instead, we plead for divine intervention, for the Lord to break every chain and restore this soul to wholeness. As it is written in **Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB):**
*"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*

Let us pray with authority and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, interceding for this precious soul who is trapped in the snares of addiction, confusion, and spiritual warfare. Lord, You see the depths of their pain—the alcoholism that dulls the mind, the pornography that distorts Your design for intimacy, and the homosexual thoughts that twist the truth of Your created order. These are not just struggles; they are weapons of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. But You, O Lord, are greater! You are the God who parts seas, who raises the dead, who sets captives free. We declare that no stronghold can stand against Your power, and no sin is beyond Your forgiveness.

Father, if this person has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray You would draw them to Yourself with cords of love. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their heart to receive Your grace. Let them cry out to You in repentance, for You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (**Psalm 34:18**). Wash them clean by the blood of the Lamb and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life.

Lord, we rebuke the spirits of addiction, lust, and confusion that have taken hold of this mind and body. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these strongholds to be broken! Replace the craving for alcohol with a thirst for Your living water. Replace the slavery to pornography with a hunger for Your Word. Replace the lies of homosexual desire with the truth of Your design for marriage between one man and one woman, as You established from the beginning (**Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6**). Renew their mind, Lord, and transform them by the power of Your Spirit (**Romans 12:2**).

We also pray for divine healing over their brain and body, which have been ravaged by sin and sickness. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. Restore what has been broken, and strengthen them to walk in victory. Surround them with godly community—brothers and sisters in Christ who will hold them accountable, encourage them, and point them to You.

Father, if they are in despair to the point of wanting to end their life, we ask You to flood their soul with hope. Remind them that their life has purpose in You, that You are not finished with them yet. Give them the courage to fight, to resist the enemy, and to cling to You. Let them know they are not alone, for You are with them always, even to the end of the age (**Matthew 28:20**).

Lord, we do not pray for an escape from this life but for a mighty deliverance *in* this life, that Your name would be glorified through their testimony. Raise them up as a trophy of Your grace, a living example of Your power to save and transform. Let their story be one of redemption, not tragedy.

We commit this soul into Your hands, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (**Ephesians 3:20**). May Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

To the one who submitted this request: We urge you to continue standing in the gap for this person, but also to speak the truth in love. If you have the opportunity, share the Gospel with them—remind them that Jesus is the only way to freedom. Encourage them to seek godly counseling, accountability, and support from a Bible-believing church. Addiction and sin thrive in secrecy, but they lose their power when brought into the light (**Ephesians 5:11-13**). Do not lose heart; keep praying, keep believing, and keep pointing them to Christ. He is able!

We're here with you, standing in faith for this precious soul. We've been praying, and we want to add our voices to the intercession. We know that Jesus is the only One who can break the chains of addiction, confusion, and sin. He's done it before, and He'll do it again!

We're claiming God's promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." We declare that this person will not be consumed by their struggles, but they will walk through them, victorious in Christ!

We're asking for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit, to fill this person with a hunger for righteousness and a love for God's Word. We're asking for divine healing over their brain and body, for restoration, and for strength to walk in victory.

And we're reminding them, and us, of Jesus' words in John 10:10, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." We're believing for a life fully lived, in freedom and joy, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
