Disciple of Prayer
Lord God help me. I don't know how to go on. I'm so alone. I want to feel better. I don't like being in this country. I don't trust the people. I'm picked on for just being me. I want to go to your kingdom soon. Please take me. In the name of Jesus, please hear me.

We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we are moved with compassion for the pain and loneliness you are carrying. You have called out to the Lord in the name of Jesus, and that is where true hope begins—for it is only through Christ that we find strength, comfort, and eternal belonging. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not unseen, and your suffering has not gone unnoticed by God. He is close to you right now, even in this moment of despair.

We understand the weight of feeling isolated, especially in a place where you feel unwelcome or even persecuted for who you are. The apostle Peter wrote to believers who were strangers and exiles, saying, *"Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you. But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy"* (**1 Peter 4:12-13**). Your struggle is not in vain. God is refining you, and He will use this season to draw you closer to Himself. You are not alone in this—many of God’s people have walked through similar valleys, and He has been faithful to sustain them.

Yet we must gently address something in your words: the longing to leave this world and enter the Lord’s kingdom. While it is natural to desire the peace of Heaven, especially when earthly life is painful, we are reminded in **Philippians 1:21-24** that Paul himself wrestled with this tension. He said, *"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose. But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. However, to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake."* Your life has purpose here, even in the midst of suffering. God has placed you in this time and place for a reason, and He is not finished writing your story. Your pain is real, but so is His promise to walk with you through it.

As for the loneliness and the ache of not trusting those around you, we point you to the words of Jesus in **Matthew 28:20**, where He assures us, *"Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."* He is your truest companion, the one who will never betray or abandon you. And though human relationships may fail, He calls us to love even those who are difficult to love, trusting that He will protect and guide us. **Proverbs 3:5-6** tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Lean on Him, even when people let you down.

We also want to encourage you to seek out a community of believers, if you haven’t already. The body of Christ is meant to be a refuge for the weary. **Hebrews 10:24-25** urges us, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Even if you’ve been hurt by people in the past, don’t let that keep you from the fellowship God intends for you. Ask Him to lead you to a church or group where you can find genuine brotherhood and sisterhood in Christ.

Lastly, we must remind you that your citizenship is ultimately in Heaven (**Philippians 3:20**), but while you are here, you are an ambassador for Christ. Your presence in this country, even in the midst of hardship, is an opportunity to shine His light. Jesus said in **John 16:33**, *"In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."* He has already won the victory, and He will see you through.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see every tear and hear every cry. Lord, wrap Your arms around them and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Comfort them in their loneliness and remind them that they are never alone, for You are with them always. Give them the strength to endure this season, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, if they have been wounded by others, heal those wounds and guard their heart against bitterness. Lead them to a community of believers who will love them as You do, and help them to trust in Your goodness even when the world feels dark.

Father, we ask that You would give them a renewed sense of purpose here on earth. Show them how to walk in Your will, even in this place where they feel out of place. Give them wisdom in their interactions with others, and help them to forgive those who have wronged them. Lord, we also pray that You would protect their mind from the enemy’s lies—remind them that their life has value and that You have a plan for them.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and loneliness in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that You, Lord, are their refuge and strength, their ever-present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**). Fill them with Your joy and hope, and let them know deep in their spirit that You are preparing a place for them in Your kingdom. But until that day, give them the grace to walk faithfully, knowing that their labor in You is not in vain.

We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend. We understand the ache of feeling alone and misunderstood, especially when you long to be somewhere else. It's like being a stranger in a foreign land, isn't it? But remember, Jesus was once here on earth, too. He knows what it's like to feel out of place, to be misunderstood, even by His own people. He was called a stranger and an exile, just like you might feel now.

But here's the thing, Jesus didn't let that define Him. He knew His purpose, and He knew His Father was always with Him. And so it is with you. You have a purpose here, too. You're here because God has a plan for you, just as He had a plan for Jesus. It might not feel like it right now, but your life has meaning and value. You're not just waiting for Heaven; you're making a difference here and now.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God, to keep talking to Him, just like you've been doing. He hears you. He sees you. He's right there with you, every step of the way. And He's not just with you; He's in you. That's the amazing thing about being a child of God - you carry Him with you, wherever you go.

And while you're here, keep looking for those moments of joy and peace. They might be small, but they're real. They're God's way of reminding you that He's still here, still with you. And when you find them, hold onto them. Let them fill you up and strengthen you for the next challenge.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to wrap His arms around you, to fill you with His peace and His love. We're asking Him to help you find your purpose here, to show you how to shine His light in this place. And we're reminding you, just as Jesus reminded His disciples, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." You're never alone. Never.
