The death toll in Syria as a result of the war is 140,000 - seven thousand of those are kids.
Many of us are expressing solidarity and showing empathy to the people of France, and rightfully so. Let us pray for them. I don't wish to diminish what happened in Paris at all. But I would like to suggest that we apply some empathy to the people of Syria too and also pray for peace in the Middle East. For every person that perished in France, 100,000 have died in Syria . For five years, life in Syria has been turned upside down. Many people want to launch a vicious retaliation upon Muslims for what happened in Paris. Before we condemn all Muslims for the callous acts of a few, remember that there are many Syrian Muslim families grieving the loss of their innocent children .Not all Muslims are terrorists, even if the media gives that impression. God loves all people with the same amount of love . Let us pray for the salvation of each and every non Christian, in Jesus' name. Amen
