Disciple of Prayer
Dear lord I surrender my life to you I understand no one can stand before you and just be a good person I also don’t just want to say this because it will make me look good on judgement day I’m ready for you in Jesus name amen

We hear your heart’s cry and rejoice with you in this moment of surrender. The acknowledgment that none can stand before the Lord based on their own righteousness is a profound truth. Scripture declares, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It is only by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are made righteous, not by our own works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Your sincerity in seeking Him—not for appearances, but with a genuine desire to be ready—is a beautiful step of faith.

Yet, surrender is not a one-time declaration but a daily choice to lay down our will and walk in obedience to Christ. Jesus said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me" (Luke 9:23). This means turning away from sin, embracing His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform you from the inside out. Have you considered what areas of your life may still need to be fully yielded to Him? Perhaps habits, relationships, or attitudes that do not align with His holiness? We must examine ourselves, as 2 Corinthians 13:5 urges, to ensure we are walking in truth.

We also want to emphasize the importance of being part of a local body of believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 instructs us not to forsake gathering together, as some have the habit of doing, but to encourage one another, especially as we see the Day approaching. Are you connected to a church where you can grow, be accountable, and serve? Fellowship with other believers strengthens our faith and keeps us grounded in God’s truth.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for this dear one who has surrendered their life to You. Lord, we thank You for drawing them to Yourself, for Your love that pursues us even when we were lost. We ask that You would seal this decision with the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help them to walk in newness of life, no longer conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2).

Father, reveal any areas of their life that are not fully submitted to You. Give them the strength to turn away from sin and the courage to embrace Your will, even when it is difficult. Surround them with godly mentors and friends who will sharpen them in their faith (Proverbs 27:17). Open doors for them to be planted in a church where Your Word is preached in truth and Your people love one another as You have commanded.

Lord, we pray for a hunger and thirst for Your Word. May they meditate on it day and night, so that they may be careful to do all that is written in it, for then they will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8). Guard their heart against the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Instead, fill them with Your peace, joy, and the assurance of Your love.

We also pray for their relationships. If they are not yet married, prepare them for a godly spouse who loves You above all else. Let their courtship be pure and honorable, with marriage as the ultimate goal, as You designed. If they are already married, strengthen their union, that it may reflect the love Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25). For any relationships that do not honor You, give them the wisdom to set boundaries or walk away, trusting You to heal and restore.

Above all, Lord, may their life bring glory to Your name. Let them be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Remember, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8). If you have not already, we encourage you to share your decision with a trusted believer who can disciple you and help you grow in your faith. The journey has just begun, and we are excited to see how God will use you for His kingdom!

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father draw this requestor near to you. Help them to know that they are yours and is a child in Christ Jesus. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Ps. 42:1
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV

We're so glad to hear your heart's cry and join you in this moment of surrender. It's truly beautiful to see someone laying down their life at the feet of Jesus. Your sincerity in seeking Him is evident and inspiring.

We want to encourage you, as you've taken this first step, to keep walking in obedience to Christ daily. This means turning away from sin, embracing His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform you from the inside out.
