Humble Servant of All
I was due to have surgery at my local hospital in 3 weeks time but this has been cancelled as an ECG showed a problem with my heart.
I now have to wait for an appointment at a hospital over 100 miles away.

I would truly appreciate prayer that I will have surgery soon as I am really unwell.
I live on my own and suffer from other physical illnesses along with mental illness.

Please Jesus take away my fear and help me to trust 🙏💖

We have heard your request and we join together with you in prayer in Jesus' name, lifting up your health, your heart, and your fears before our Heavenly Father.

We understand how distressing and disappointing it must have been to have your surgery cancelled so close to the date, especially when you are already feeling so unwell and now face the uncertainty of waiting and traveling so far for care. Living on your own while carrying both physical and mental illness can feel very isolating, but we want to remind you that you are not alone and you are deeply seen and loved by God.

The Lord knows your fear and He invites you to bring it to Him. Scripture tells us, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And also, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. When fear rises up, we can remember His promise, When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3.

We also take comfort that God draws near to those who suffer. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. And He is the One who heals, for He says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace for our dear one who is unwell and waiting. Lord, You know the problem that was found on the ECG and You know every other physical illness and the struggle with mental illness. We ask for Your healing hand upon this heart and body. Give wisdom and discernment to the doctors and specialists who will evaluate and perform this surgery. We pray that You would open the door for an appointment very soon at the hospital far away, and make a way for safe travel and for all the practical needs and costs to be provided. Lord, please take away fear and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Lord. Help our friend to trust You more each day, to rest in Your care, and to know that You are holding them even while living alone. Bring alongside supportive people, whether family, neighbours, or brothers and sisters in Christ, to help and encourage in this waiting time. Give strength for each day, hope for the future, and remind them that You will never leave nor forsake them. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Saviour. Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting Jesus and to keep making your requests known to Him daily, thanking Him even in the waiting. Please continue to follow your medical team's guidance and do not hesitate to reach out to your doctor, a trusted person, or a local fellowship of believers for help and company while you wait, as God often provides comfort through His people. We are continuing to pray for your peace, for your health to be restored, and for the Lord to make a way for this much needed surgery very soon.

We were sorry to hear your surgery was postponed after the ECG showed a heart concern, and now you face a longer wait and a long journey when you are already feeling so unwell. It is understandable to feel afraid and stretched thin, especially living on your own while carrying both physical and mental health burdens. Waiting can make everything feel more fragile and out of control.

We want you to know you are not forgotten in this waiting. When illness drags on it often leaves people feeling isolated and weary, and support can quietly thin out after the first news. If you have a GP, practice nurse, or mental health worker, we encourage you to stay in touch with them about how you are feeling physically and emotionally while you wait, and to let them know about the travel distance and your concerns. It can also help to let one trusted person nearby, a neighbour, friend, or someone at church if you have one, know the new plan and how anxious you feel, so you are not holding this alone and someone can help with practical steps like transport or checking in.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see how unwell and afraid they feel and how heavy the waiting is. Give them Your peace and help them to trust You day by day, provide the right appointment at the right time, and surround them with kind, practical help and steady care. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your letter has been read with deep sympathy and has been carried at once to the throne of grace. To be made ready for surgery and then to have it set aside, to learn of a fresh trouble in the heart, and to be told that help lies more than a hundred miles away, is a heavy burden indeed. And when to this is added the trial of living alone, with other infirmities of body and a mind often cast down, the weight must feel very great. You are not forgotten in prayer.

You speak of fear, and of the desire to trust. Let me remind you that our Lord Jesus knows what it is to be alone. He was left alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, and His disciples forsook Him and fled when fear overcame them. There are seasons when the believer is brought into a measure of the same loneliness, and when deep soul conflict makes the night seem long. Yet He who was alone in His sorrow now draws near to His lonely ones. Though you dwell alone in your house, you are not alone if Christ is there. He sees you, He knows your frame, and He understands the fear that trembles in your heart.

The word which the Lord speaks to such as you are is, Fear not. This plant grows very plentifully in God's garden. Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, for I have redeemed thee. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To give way to fear is to dishonor Him whose arm piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. That arm is not palsied now. Labor then to get rid of fear by trusting the promise, for fear is weakening, but faith nourishes all the other graces. As the hymn says, Only trust Him, only trust Him, Only trust Him now.

You ask Jesus to take away your fear and help you to trust. This is the very thing He waits to do. We have a waiting God who waits that He might be gracious, and He has a waiting people who wait upon Him patiently in hope. The waiting is not in vain. There is a final success to all this waiting when the time of love comes and grace is poured into the heart. For a little while you must wait for the appointment and for the help of man, but you may wait in hope, for in the shadow of His wings you may make your refuge until these calamities be overpast. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me, for my soul trusteth in Thee.

Do not think that you must first feel yourself stronger or more peaceful before you may trust Him. Conversion and comfort are the manifestation of Christ's healing power, but you are to trust Him for this very thing. As a sick man trusts a physician before he is healed, so you are to trust the Lord Jesus now, just as you are, sinking, fearful, unwell, and He will not make you ashamed. They that trust in Him shall not be confounded. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying and you shall live.

There is also abundant healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. Those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Whether by His own immediate hand or by the hands of surgeons and physicians whom He directs, all healing comes from Him. When He dwells with His people, pardon and healing are joined together, for the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings.

Let us pray for you now.

O merciful God, be merciful unto this afflicted one. Thou seest the infirmity of the body, the trouble of the heart now discovered, the disappointment of surgery delayed, the distance to be travelled, the loneliness of the house, and the heaviness of mind. Lord, put Thy fear in the heart, and take away the fear of man and the fear of death. Help this dear soul to trust only in Jesus Christ Thy Son, who alone is able to save, and to know that to trust Him is never to be confounded. Spread the shadow of Thy wings over this waiting one until these calamities be overpast. In Thy good providence open the way for needful surgery soon, guide the hands that shall minister, and grant journeying mercies and sustaining grace. Speak Thyself that word, Fear not, for I will help thee, and let faith rise to lay hold upon it. Heal as Thou seest best, forgive, comfort, and keep, for Jesus sake. Amen.

May the Holy Spirit maintain your faith in full vigor. Keep looking to Jesus, and tell Him all your anxiety, for He careth for you. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him, for they that trust Him shall yet praise Him.
