Humble Prayer Partner
Brothers and Sisters, I am in anguish in my life, I'm afraid of homelessness, winter is here where we are, and things are getting worse.
I'm tired and discouraged and trying to hang onto my faith. Will you pray for a miracle with me?
I pray for a miracle in Jesus' Name, amen.
I'd like a nice warm home where I can have privacy and quiet and no cigarette or vape smoke nearby. I'd like to feel able to come home and be home.
I pray that everything else moves, I'm not getting an answer to make the final decision on supported self-employment, and the wait isn't helping me.
I need someone alongside me to support me, I'm stumbling.
Host sir, support services where I am are very limited and the churches have grown cold because of the many substance abusers and people in need..
I can't afford a GP or counsellor. There isn't much support.
Pray with me, family, in Jesus' Name as I pray. Amen

We hear your cry and we stand with you in this winter season of fear and weariness, and we join our faith with yours as you are trying to hang onto faith while stumbling under this heavy burden. We are praying for a miracle with you in Jesus' Name, and we thank you for coming to the Father through Him, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and hope of salvation.

The Word reminds us that our heavenly Father sees your need for shelter and rest and quiet. Jesus said Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33

We know the fear of homelessness is real and the cold makes it feel even more urgent, and the waiting for an answer about supported self-employment and the lack of support around you has left you tired and discouraged. God has not forgotten you in this. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 and Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 He says to you now Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

We also hear your longing for a warm home where you can have privacy and quiet and be free from cigarette and vape smoke, where you can truly come home and be home and find rest. That is a good and understandable desire, and we bring it before the Lord who promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 We pray that He will provide that place of peace and safety in His perfect timing and will. We also pray for the decision that is hanging over you regarding supported self-employment, that the Lord would move what needs to be moved and bring a clear answer quickly, and that He would put someone alongside you to support you so you do not stumble alone.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up our dear brother or sister who is weary, discouraged, and afraid. Lord, You see the winter cold and the threat of homelessness and the exhaustion of waiting without answers. We ask for Your mercy and for a miracle according to Your will. Provide a warm, quiet, private home free from smoke where Your child can rest and dwell in peace. We ask You to open the door that has been closed regarding supported self-employment and to bring clarity and a final decision. Send a faithful person alongside to help bear this burden, to encourage and to support. You have said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 Lord, give rest to this tired heart. Guard this heart and mind with Your peace which surpasses all understanding as we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We ask that even when support services are limited and churches seem cold and a counsellor cannot be afforded, You would show Yourself as very present help and faithful provider. Keep this precious soul close, strengthen faith that is hanging on, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' Name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep hanging onto faith even when you feel you are stumbling, for the Lord upholds those who trust in Him. Keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, even with simple prayers in Jesus' Name throughout the day. Though support where you are is limited, keep asking the Lord to lead you to even one believer or one fellowship that will show the love of Christ, and do not grow bitter toward the churches even if many have grown cold, but pray the Lord will soften hearts and raise up help. He is not distant from you. He knows your need for quiet and for clean air and for a true home, and He knows you need companionship and guidance for the next step. We will continue to pray that the Lord moves the obstacles, brings provision, and lets you feel able to be home again in safety and peace.

We hear how heavy this season feels for you, and how much you are carrying as winter sets in. Wanting a warm, quiet home where you can simply be at peace and breathe clean air is a understandable and good desire, and waiting without an answer about supported self-employment while feeling like you are stumbling without someone alongside you would wear anyone down. We are praying with you for God's mercy and provision in this waiting.

We know you mentioned support where you are is very limited and even churches feel stretched thin right now. That can make it feel lonelier, and we are sorry you are facing that. When everything feels like it needs to move at once, it can help to narrow the focus to the next small contact rather than the whole future. If you are able, we would encourage you to keep one simple written record of who you have contacted about housing and about the employment decision, with dates, and to follow up with a brief, kind check-in on the employment decision each week so you stay visible in the process. If there is one person, even if not a formal service, who has shown you a bit of kindness locally, consider asking if they would be willing to be a single point of contact to check in with you weekly.

We are standing with you in prayer and asking God to meet you in these very real needs.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. You see his need for a safe, warm and quiet home and for guidance on work. Give him strength for today, steady help from others nearby, and clear next steps. Keep him in Your care through this winter and draw near to him as he holds onto faith. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace in this cold and trying season. To be tired and discouraged, to fear homelessness while winter presses in, and to feel that support is thin and that even the churches around you have grown cold, is a heavy burden indeed. Yet the very fact that you are trying to hang onto your faith in such an hour is precious in the sight of God.

What you describe is what the Scriptures often show in the people of God, a mixture of fear and faith struggling together in the same soul. You fear, and yet you believe. You tremble at what may come, and yet you turn to the Lord and pray for a miracle in Jesus Name. Do not despise that struggling faith. A struggling faith is still true faith, for it rests upon the promise of God and looks to Christ alone. Little faith is still faith, and it is the gift of God. It dares to say, I am afraid, but I will trust in Him. Fear and faith may go hand in hand for a while, till the Lord in perfect love gives strength and steadies the heart. Remember the answer of faith to the question of fear, No, but He will put strength in me. What you cannot do of yourself, He can do within you. He who piled the heavens and sustains the earth will lend His strength to a weary child who looks to Him.

We have prayed with you and we continue to pray, that our heavenly Father, who knows your need for a warm, quiet and private home, free from smoke and disturbance, where you can truly come home and be at home, would in His mercy provide such a dwelling according to His wisdom and love. We pray that He would move those things that have stalled, and give clear guidance concerning this final decision on supported self employment, that you may see His hand opening or closing the way with peace. We ask that He would put alongside you a faithful helper, a true companion in the journey, for it is hard to stumble alone, and the Lord often bears His people up by the hands of others. Where human services are limited and you cannot afford counsellor or physician, may the Lord Himself be your counsellor and your help, and may He stir up kindness where there has been coldness.

Take heart that though men may grow cold, Christ never does. His ear is not heavy, His arm is not shortened. He was crowned with thorns and bore tears and blood that you might be saved by grace through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Cling to Him. If you can only pray, Lord, I believe, help my unbelief, that prayer He will not despise. Let your fear drive you closer to Him, for a holy fear will put wings upon your heels to fly to Jesus, and there you will find refuge.

We pray now together. O Lord our God, look upon this weary one who fears and yet trusts. Put strength within, calm the troubled heart, and cast out fear with perfect love. In Jesus Name, provide what is needed for this winter, a safe and warm habitation, quietness and peace, clean air and rest. Grant wisdom for the decision that waits, and send faithful support alongside. Keep this soul from sinking, hold up feeble faith, and show that You are a very present help in trouble. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus Christ is worthy, and in His Name we plead it. Amen.
