Beloved of All
In a hours time we need to go tell my husband brother &wife we will sell the property of his late parent house and divide the money 50/50 We use to live in this house but moved out bec the brother&his wife harassed us gossip by people about us lies .I'm doing this to support my husband because they are breaking his beloved parents house down with substance they are using but im having heavy anxiety that people put me through so much trama I dnt know how I will face them after not seeing each other a year

We hear the heaviness in your heart as you prepare for this difficult meeting in just an hour, and we stand with you in prayer as you support your husband in honoring his late parents and seeking what is just and peaceable. It is a beautiful thing that you are standing beside your husband in his marriage to you, leaving and cleaving and bearing one another's burdens as God intends for a husband and wife, and we commend you for seeking to do what is right even while carrying trauma and anxiety from the harassment, gossip and lies you have endured.

The Lord sees all that has happened, the hurtful words spoken against you, the harassment that drove you from the home, and the sorrow of seeing a family home being broken down through substance use. Gossip and lying lips and substance abuse do not align with God's will and bring destruction to families. Scripture calls us to put away such things and to speak truth in love. At the same time God calls us to pursue peace as far as it depends on us. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We understand the anxiety and trauma you feel about facing them again after a year. The Lord does not want you to carry this fear alone. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He is near to the brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and peace with God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find our refuge.

So together we pray for you now in Jesus' name. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear sister and her husband as they prepare to meet with his brother and wife. Lord, You know the anxiety that weighs on her heart and the trauma she has carried from gossip and harassment. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen her and uphold her with Your righteous right hand. Give her and her husband wisdom and calm words, that they may speak the truth in love with gentleness and self control. Let this conversation about selling the house and dividing the inheritance fifty fifty be done with honesty and fairness, and let it be a step toward ending strife and protecting what You have entrusted to this family. We pray for the brother and his wife, that You would convict them concerning any substance use that is destroying what was built, and bring deliverance and repentance. Heal the wounds of this family, help them to forgive as You have forgiven us in Ephesians 4:32, and lead them into reconciliation where possible, or healthy boundaries where needed. Cover this meeting with Your presence, restrain any harsh words or lies, and let Your will be done. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, amen.

We encourage you as you go in, to keep your focus on Christ, to breathe and pray silently even as you walk in, to have agreed beforehand with your husband on what will be said and to keep the discussion brief, clear and kind. You do not need to answer every accusation or revisit every past hurt in this one meeting. It is right to seek peace but also to set godly boundaries. If emotions rise, it is wise to pause and step away and commit the outcome to the Lord. The Lord will be with you in that room, and even after this meeting He will continue to heal you from trauma as you daily cast your cares on Him and stay rooted in His Word.

We hear how heavy this next hour feels for you. Wanting to stand with your husband in a painful family decision, while carrying the memory of harassment and gossip and not having seen his brother and wife for a year, is a lot to hold at once. It makes sense that anxiety is rising right now.

What you are doing to support your husband matters, and it is also wise to protect your own heart in the process. Boundaries are a bit like property lines. They help us know what is ours to carry and what is not, so we can stay connected without losing our freedom to say yes and no. For a meeting like this, that can look like keeping the purpose clear and contained.

If it helps in this next hour, you and your husband might agree beforehand on just a couple things together: what you will share about the sale and division, what you will not get into if old accusations come up, and a simple way to pause or step out if you need to. Even deciding on a short time frame and having a kind exit line ready, like we need to close here and will follow up in writing, can ease some pressure. Having someone trusted know where you are, and planning a quiet time together afterward to decompress, can also help you feel less alone.

We are praying for you both right now.

Father, we bring this couple to You in Jesus' name. Give them steadiness and gentleness as they walk into this hard conversation, guard their hearts and words, and give them wisdom for each step. Bring peace to their home afterward and guide what comes next with this property. Amen.

There is a heaviness upon you as this hour draws near, and the Lord who searches the heart sees the trembling and the anxiety which now unfits you for the very duty that lies before you. Have you not found it so, that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Therefore cast your burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you and will sustain you in this meeting.

You have known what it is to be wounded by unbridled tongues, and such wounds are not easily healed. A human tongue is soft, yet it can cut to the very quick, and the hellish artillery of false reports and gossip leaves a sore that lingers. But there is a Physician who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. The least thing about Christ has healing in it, as the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Even a broken word from His lips bears healing for the thousand ills that befall our humanity. Go to Him now before you go to that house. Get you to the mercy seat, let your anxiety be confessed to God, and seek that peace which passes all understanding.

To shrink from duty is always perilous, better to go forward when the path is plain before you. You do well to stand by your husband in this matter and to seek what is just and equal in dividing the inheritance, for this is giving to the household the share that is due and doing what is honest in the sight of men. If the house of his parents is being broken down by substance and neglect, it is right to act with wisdom and firmness, yet with gentleness.

When you stand before them, remember that if all the forces on earth are not sufficient to save His saint, God will send sufficient reserves from the heavenly host to preserve His people. He has been a Husband to His people and a wall of fire round about them, protecting them from temptations and corruptions without and within. He will be near you in that room.

And concerning the gossip and lies which have caused you such trauma, usually the least said is the soonest mended. You need not answer every reproach nor strive to clear your name before men. Let your heart be fixed to go on in what you know to be right, and be content to let your enemies say their say while you walk in quiet faithfulness. The Lord will be your defender.

May the Lord now give you a calm and steadfast spirit, not one jot of anxious betrayal but a composure that comes from trusting Him. May He guard your lips that you may speak with grace and truth, with firmness and love, seeking peace as much as lies in you. May He heal your broken heart with His own balm, and let the torrent of His joy bear you over all weariness and fear. And may He work in the hearts of your husband's brother and his wife, to bring them to soberness and to a willingness for what is fair.

We commend you to Him who pardons and heals, who preserves His people through faith unto salvation. May you know this hour that the Lord sends from heaven and saves you from the reproach of those that would swallow you up, and may you return with a conscience at peace because you did what was right before God.

We will pray for you in this hour, that God would avert the pestilence of fear, keep you by His power, and give you healing and pardon through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this burden so openly and for wanting to support your husband in a difficult moment. It is understandable that you feel heavy anxiety before seeing his brother and his wife again after a year, especially when there has been harassment, gossip and lies, and when you had to leave a home you once lived in. Facing people who have hurt you, while also trying to handle a painful family decision about his late parents house, is a lot to carry in one hour.

God sees what you have endured and He sees the truth behind the gossip. He also sees your desire to stand by your husband as you seek a fair and peaceful division of the property. Wanting to do what is right and to keep peace, as far as it depends on you, honors Him. At the same time, anxiety that comes from trauma is real, and Scripture invites you to bring that anxiety directly to the Lord. Anxiety can wear down both body and soul, but God promises a different kind of strength, a steady and lasting peace that guards the heart when we cast our cares on Him because He cares for us.

As you go to this meeting, it may help to keep a few things in mind. Pray together with your husband beforehand, even briefly, and ask God for calm, clarity and self control. Agree in advance what needs to be said about selling the house and dividing the proceeds equally, and what does not need to be debated. It is wise to keep the conversation focused, truthful and gentle, without returning insult for insult. If possible, keep the meeting brief, have a clear plan for when to leave, and consider having a trusted person aware of where you are. You do not need to answer every accusation or correct every lie in that moment. Quiet steadiness often speaks more than many words. If substance use is damaging the house, you are right to grieve that, and seeking a fair sale can be a responsible step to prevent further harm.

Remember that supporting your husband does not mean ignoring your own limits. It is good to notice when anxiety rises, to breathe, to pray silently, and to step aside for a moment if you need to. Afterwards, give yourselves time to rest and talk through what happened. Ongoing healing from trauma often takes time, and it can help to continue seeking wise pastoral counsel and prayer support.

I will pray for you now.

Father in heaven, thank You that You see this wife and her husband, and You know the hurt, the gossip and the heaviness they carry. Thank You for their desire to act fairly and peacefully regarding this family property. In this next hour, grant them Your peace that goes beyond understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Give them calm words, wisdom to speak truth with grace, and strength to set respectful boundaries. Protect them from harassment and from the weight of past trauma, and help them to leave this meeting without bitterness. Bring healing where there has been wounding, bring comfort where there is anxiety, and guide every practical step so that what is decided is just and honors You. Help them to keep supporting one another in love, and to find rest in Your care today and in the days ahead. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Your honesty about the heavy anxiety you are carrying into this meeting is heard, and it is understandable after all you have been through. To have lived in that house, to have left because of harassment and lies and gossip, and now to have to face those same people again after a year apart would stir up trauma in anyone. It is a good and loving thing that you are standing beside your husband in this, even while your heart feels so heavy.

Jesus knows what it is to be rejected and misrepresented by those closest to Him. His own family at one point thought He had lost His mind and His own town did not honor Him. Scripture says a prophet is not without honor except in his own country and among his own family. He also showed us that it is not always right to force a confrontation. When opposition rose against Him before His time had come, He withdrew. He did not come to break the bruised reed but to gently minister and heal those who would listen. That is a pattern for you now. You do not have to go into this meeting to win an argument about the past, to answer every lie that was told, or to prove yourself. You can go quietly, with gentleness, to do what is right and then step away.

What you and your husband are proposing is right and fair. To sell the house that belonged to his parents and divide it equally is an honest way to handle an inheritance. In Scripture, land given to a family was to be stewarded with fairness and care, and to remain a blessing rather than a source of endless strife. You are not trying to use the situation to gain an advantage for yourselves, but to bring a just and clean resolution, especially when you have seen the house being harmed by substance use. That desire to protect what was entrusted to the family and to act justly honors God.

As you go, keep the purpose simple and clear. Go together, stay united, keep your words brief and factual about the decision to sell and divide equally, and do not get drawn into revisiting old gossip or accusations. It is wise to decide beforehand what you will say and what boundaries you will keep. If voices rise or old hurts are brought up, you have freedom to pause or to end the conversation and continue it later through a more neutral way, such as in writing or with a trusted third party. You are not required to endure harassment to prove you are forgiving. Forgiveness does not mean allowing continued harm.

Turn all of this into prayer. God invites you to bring your anxiety to Him and He promises a peace that guards the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Pray before you go, pray quietly as you are there, and pray afterward. Pray for your husband as he grieves both his parents and the pain around their home. Pray also for his brother and his wife, that God would work in their lives, bring them to truth, and free them from what is destroying them. God sees every lie that was spoken about you and every hurt you suffered, and He is the one who brings justice in His own time. You do not have to defend yourself with your own strength.

Remember that God has promised to be with His people when He calls them to walk a hard road. As He told Jacob to return to his family and assured him, I will be with you, so He is with you now. And He has also given you a family in Christ. Lean on faithful believers who love you like fathers and mothers and brothers and sisters, who can pray with you, listen to you, and support you after this meeting. You do not have to carry this alone.

May the Lord give you calm breathing, steady hearts, and gentle words as you go. May He guard you from evil, let the conversation be as peaceful as possible, and lead you to a fair resolution that allows you both to move forward with a clear conscience. May He heal the places where trauma still hurts and fill you with His peace that passes understanding.
