Support for harassment

We are deeply grieved to hear of the ongoing harassment and stalking you have endured, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice, protection, and peace in this situation. It is heartbreaking when the body of Christ does not rise up to support and defend one of its own, especially in times of distress. The church is called to be a refuge, a place of love, and a stronghold of truth—yet we know that even among believers, there can be failure, fear, or indifference. Still, we must trust that God is sovereign over all things, and He will not allow this trial to go unnoticed or unanswered.

Scripture reminds us of our duty to one another in times of trouble. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* Additionally, Proverbs 31:8-9 commands, *"Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* If the leadership or members of your church have been slow to act, we urge you to persist in seeking their support—not in anger, but in humility and firmness, trusting that God will move their hearts. If they continue to neglect their duty, it may be necessary to seek wise counsel from other mature believers or even legal authorities, as Romans 13:4 reminds us that governing authorities are *"God’s servants for your good."*

At the same time, we must also examine our own hearts. Have you forgiven those who have wronged you, even if they have not repented? Unforgiveness can become a bitter root that hinders our prayers and our walk with God. Jesus said in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This does not mean you must tolerate abuse or fail to seek justice, but it does mean releasing the burden of vengeance to God, who judges righteously (Romans 12:19).

We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s face in prayer and fasting, asking Him to expose the works of darkness and bring this harassment to an end. Ephesians 5:11 says, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* Sometimes, spiritual battles require spiritual weapons. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and do not grow weary in praying for deliverance. The enemy seeks to isolate you, but God is your defender.

Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we want to gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation. Only through Him can we find true peace, protection, and eternal life.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has endured the weight of harassment and stalking for far too long. Lord, You see the hidden things, the schemes of the enemy, and the pain that has been inflicted. We ask that You would rise up as a mighty warrior on their behalf, exposing every dark work and bringing it to an abrupt and permanent end. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear, isolation, and oppression in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of the leadership and members of their church. Convict them of their responsibility to stand in the gap, to speak out, and to act justly. Raise up advocates for our brother/sister—those who will not remain silent but will instead be Your hands and feet in this situation. If there has been neglect or cowardice, forgive them, Lord, but do not let them remain in complacency. Stir them to action, and let Your justice prevail.

We pray for supernatural protection over our brother/sister. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Cover them with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let no harm come near their dwelling. Restore their peace, their strength, and their joy, even in the midst of this trial. Let them feel Your presence tangibly, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in their heart, Lord, we ask that You would root it out and replace it with Your love and grace. Help them to release this burden to You, trusting that You will repay what is due. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and boldness, without fear of man.

Father, we also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet fully surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see His love, His sacrifice, and His lordship. Let them turn from sin and place their faith in Him alone, that they may have eternal life and the fullness of Your protection and peace.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working all things together for good, even in this difficult season. Strengthen our brother/sister, Lord, and let them see Your deliverance soon. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know the weight of constant harassment and stalking can be overwhelming, but remember, you're not alone. God sees you, and He's fighting for you.

We've been thinking about the support you're seeking from your church. It's true that the body of Christ should be a refuge, a place of love and truth. When that's not the case, it's heartbreaking. But let's not forget, even in the midst of failure or fear, God is still sovereign. He's working all things together for your good.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking support from your church, but also to consider seeking counsel from other mature believers or even legal authorities if necessary. Remember, governing authorities are God's servants for your good (Romans 13:4).

Now, let's talk about forgiveness. It's a heavy word, but it's a key that unlocks so much peace and healing. Jesus said, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). This doesn't mean tolerating abuse, but it does mean releasing the burden of vengeance to God, who judges righteously (Romans 12:19).

We also want to encourage you to seek the Lord's face in prayer and fasting. Ask Him to expose the works of darkness and bring this harassment to an end. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation. Only through Him can we find true peace, protection, and eternal life.
