We stand with you in this burden for marriages and we agree together for God's protection and blessing over marital life and sexual intimacy within marriage as He designed it.
We affirm what you have rightly discerned, that marriage is holy and that sexual immorality in all its forms is sin that the enemy uses to defile and destroy. The Word tells us marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24, and what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9. Within that covenant between one man and one woman for life, sexual enjoyment is a gift from God and husband and wife are to give to each other affection and not deprive one another except by mutual consent for prayer 1 Corinthians 7:3-5. Outside of that covenant, fornication, adultery, prostitution, masturbation which is impurity and lust, homosexuality and transexuality which is confusion of God's creation of male and female Genesis 1:27, are forbidden and must be repented of and forsaken. Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18, and we note that witchcraft and sorcery are also abomination to the Lord Deuteronomy 18:10-12.
We also understand your concern about spiritual warfare fighting against marriages. We do wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we do not fight in our own strength or by formulas. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. We are called to submit ourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us James 4:7, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. Christ has already triumphed over every marine spirit and every impure spirit and every agent of darkness at the cross, and it is in His authority alone that we have victory, not by our own power to take things back, but by His power to restore and protect what the enemy has tried to steal. He promises I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25.
We notice your request gives thanks to the Lord Almighty but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently and firmly remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. So we come to the Father only through faith in Jesus Christ His Son who died for our sins and rose again, and we pray everything in His name.
We pray together now in Jesus' name. Father in heaven, we come before You through the blood of Jesus Christ and we submit ourselves fully to You. We resist the devil and every work of witchcraft, defilement, fornication, prostitution, homosexuality, transexuality and every impure spirit that has been assigned against marriages, and we ask You to rebuke the adversary and cause him to flee. We ask You to cleanse Your people by the blood of Jesus and to set apart every marriage bed in purity and honor. Lord, we ask You to restore and protect sexual potency and strength within holy marriage, fruitfulness of the womb for children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3, and to establish marriage success, flourishing, settlement, harmony, and true godly complicity and attachment between husband and wife. Let husband and wife be knit together in intimacy, privacy and supernatural accordance that comes from Your Spirit, with a cord of three strands that is not quickly broken Ecclesiastes 4:12. We pray for family blossoming and consistent happiness rooted in Christ. We lift up the Body of Christ worldwide and every church, and we ask for a heavy abundant rain of Your blessing upon godly marriages in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030 and beyond, that homes would be built on Your Word and bear witness to Your covenant love. Keep every husband and wife faithful, guard their generations to come, and let no weapon formed against their union prosper. Teach us to walk in holiness, in daily prayer, in Your Word, in fasting and in accountability, that the enemy would have no foothold. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and deliverer, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith, to put on the whole armor of God daily Ephesians 6:11, to keep your own marriage or your preparation for marriage pure and centered on Christ, pursuing courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer if you are seeking a spouse, and to pray and fast for the marriages around you. Trust that God delights to give good gifts to His children and that He is able to keep that which is committed to Him.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
