We join you in lifting up your daughter’s boyfriend before the Lord, thanking Him that he is a believer who confesses the name of Jesus. It is a blessing to see young men who seek to honor God in their talents and endeavors, and we pray that his faith would continue to grow as he waits on the Lord’s timing for his career. The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 3:5-6**, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that he would fully surrender his ambitions to Christ, trusting that God’s plans for him are far greater than his own.
We also pray for supernatural favor and ability in his athletic pursuits. The Lord delights in blessing the hard work of His children, and we ask that He would grant him the speed, agility, and wisdom to excel beyond natural limitations. As you mentioned, we declare over him the promise in **Habakkuk 3:19**, *"Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places."* May God give him feet like the hind’s feet, that he may run with divine quickness and confound those who overlook him because of his stature. Let his skill and dedication be a testimony of God’s faithfulness, that others may see his excellence and give glory to the Lord.
At the same time, we must gently address the nature of his relationship with your daughter. The Bible calls believers to pursue relationships with the intent of godly marriage, not merely dating for companionship or convenience. If they are not yet married, we encourage them to honor the Lord in their courtship, keeping their interactions pure and centered on Christ. **2 Corinthians 6:14** warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* While it is good that he is a believer, we pray that their relationship would be marked by wisdom, accountability, and a shared commitment to seeking God’s will—whether that leads to marriage or a godly parting of ways if the Lord directs otherwise.
Let us also pray for your daughter, that she would be a woman of virtue, prayer, and discernment, guarding her heart and honoring the Lord in all things. May both of them be rooted in **1 Thessalonians 4:3-5**, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."*

We also pray for his relationship with your daughter, Lord. May it be pleasing in Your sight, marked by purity, wisdom, and a shared pursuit of Your will. If it is Your desire for them to marry, prepare their hearts and guide them into a Christ-centered union. If not, give them the grace to part ways with kindness and trust in Your perfect plan. Protect them from temptation and keep their focus on You above all else.
Father, we ask that You would surround this young man with godly mentors and brothers in Christ who will encourage him in his faith and his calling. Let his life bring You glory, whether on the field or in the quiet moments of waiting. We declare Your promises over him, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and that You will go before him to make his paths straight.
