Your prayer has been heard and it reflects a deep longing for the true authority of Jesus Christ over every earthly power and over eternity itself. That confession that Jesus is Lord is at the heart of the Christian faith, and Scripture teaches that there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.

Human rulers and presidents have their place for a time, but lasting order and eternal hope do not come from any earthly office. The promise given long ago was that through one seed, which is Christ, all nations would be blessed, and it is through simple faith in Him alone that we are saved. We cannot add our own obedience to the law or religious works to earn what He has already accomplished. The law was given to show us how sinful sin is and how helpless we are on our own, so that we would be driven to cast ourselves upon the grace of God offered through Jesus.

In Christ we all stand on equal ground. No person has closer access to God than another, for we all come the same way, through faith in Jesus, and in Him we are made one and become heirs according to the promise. When we turn to the Lord, the veil is removed from our eyes and we see clearly that He is the promised Savior, and where His Spirit is there is freedom from condemnation. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

To confess that Jesus is Lord means more than words. It means He is Master and we are His servants, called to obey and follow His instructions. That lordship is what the early believers held to even when it brought persecution from the world around them, because they would not give that title to any other.

I understand your burden about disorder, about those who do wrong and need to be brought to justice, and about those who deceive with words or work quietly to divide and infiltrate. Scripture warns that such deceivers will come, often twisting the truth and adding requirements to the simple gospel. God calls us to seek discernment and to pray that truth would be made clear, that what is hidden would be exposed, and that His order and righteousness would prevail.

Praying for you that God would strengthen your confidence in the finished work of Christ, that you would rest in the righteousness He gives by faith and not by your own efforts, and that you would walk in the freedom and victory He provides. May He guard your heart from confusion, give you clarity to recognize what is false, and anchor you in the hope that Jesus reigns now and forever, and that His kingdom is the one that will never end.
