We understand that you're seeking God's presence and blessing for a specific day in the future, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement.
Firstly, it's wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, as it is written: Being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father in Philippians 2:8-11 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your grace and mercy for Sunday, June 8, 2025. We ask that You be with this dear one, guiding and strengthening them in every way.
Lord, we know that Your mercies are new every morning and that You forgive us when we come to You with a repentant heart. As they've mentioned a failure on Sunday, June 9, 2024, we pray that You'll help them learn from the past and move forward in Your will like Romans 14:23 WEB: Whatever is not of faith is sin. This is a good opportunity to discuss the fact that we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. We have all sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus in Romans 3:23-24 WEB.
We claim Your promise in Psalm 34:7 WEB: The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them in Psalm 34:7. We ask that You bless their body physically, mentally, and spiritually. May Your peace rule in their heart, and may You grant them the strength and wisdom needed to overcome any challenges they may face.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding the mention of failure, let us remind you that God's Word tells us, Now to him who is able to keep you without stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen in Jude 1:24-25 WEB.
Trust in His ability to keep you from stumbling and remember that Philippians 4:13 WEB: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Keep your focus on Him and His will for your life.
Lastly, consider the words of James 4:13-15 WEB Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow let's go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit." Yet you don't know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live, and do this or that." We don't know what tomorrow will bring, so let's always strive to live in His will today.
