Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Thank you for sharing this need about the credentialing for your job. We are praying with you and we understand how much weight a process like this can carry, as work touches our daily provision, our sense of purpose, and our desire to provide faithfully.

Your situation brings to mind the story of Job. That book is among the poetry of Scripture and reaches back to very early times, perhaps to the days of Abraham. Cultures have changed a great deal since then, yet the deep needs and pressures of the human heart remain the same. The cries Job lifted up about the deepest issues of life are still the cries we bring to God today when we face uncertainty and feel we cannot see what He is doing.

Scripture gives us a view behind what Job and his friends could not see. God Himself spoke well of Job as a man who was upright and who turned from evil, and He had placed a hedge of protection around him. At the same time the adversary had been closely observing Job and had formed a theory about him, that he served God only because God had blessed him with so much. God allowed a season of testing, not because He had forsaken Job, but to show what was true. Job did not understand his circumstances and he spoke at times out of grief and confusion, not as one delivering settled doctrine about life and death, but as a sufferer pouring out his pain. His friends came intending to comfort him, yet their counsel only added burden. They assumed suffering must mean hidden wrong and told him he must be a hypocrite who needed to get right with God, that God is fair and just and would surely restore him if he would only plead his cause. Job knew God is indeed fair and just, and he held to his integrity, yet he still could not explain what was happening.

What comforts us in that story is that God was working even when it appeared He had turned away. Job did not curse God or charge Him foolishly, though he openly said he did not understand Him. In the end God showed Himself and vindicated Job, and even called those friends to account and had Job pray for them.

We pray that same faithful God will meet you in this credentialing process. He sees your diligence and your desire to walk uprightly before Him, and nothing in this process is hidden from Him. We ask Him to grant favor with those who review your credentials, to give clarity and thoroughness to every document and requirement, and to remove unnecessary obstacles. We ask Him to give you peace while you wait, to guard you from the voices that would say a delay or difficulty means you have failed or that He has forgotten you, and to help you lay His words up in your heart and seek Him first. Whether the answer comes quickly or requires patience, we trust He will use this season for your good and for His glory, and that He will provide what you need.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this credentialing before You. You know every detail and every person involved. We ask for Your hand upon it, for wisdom and steadiness for our brother or sister, and for a good outcome according to Your will. Help this dear one to rest in Your justice and mercy, to know You are near, and to continue to hate what is evil and cling to what is good. We thank You that You have not forsaken Your people and that You are at work even when we cannot trace Your ways. Amen.
