Please pray for me. I'm currently at work and I feel like some negative things are happening. I'm not sure if it's Satan attacking me or not. Thank you.

We hear your concern and stand with you in this moment of uncertainty at work. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." It is very possible that what you are experiencing is a spiritual attack, as Satan often seeks to disrupt our peace and productivity, especially when we are striving to honor God in our work.

First, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and the power to overcome these attacks. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and invite Him into your life as your Lord and Savior. This is the foundation upon which we can stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is feeling the weight of negativity at work. Lord, we ask that You would reveal the source of this struggle, whether it is a spiritual attack or a trial meant to strengthen faith. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of confusion, discouragement, and fear that may be at work in this situation. We command these forces to flee in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You would surround our brother/sister with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill their heart with confidence in Your provision and protection.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help them to see this situation through Your eyes and to respond with grace, integrity, and courage. If there are areas where they need to take action, whether in addressing conflict, seeking guidance, or trusting You for a new opportunity, give them clarity and boldness to move forward.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are our Provider, our Strength, and our Shield. We trust that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May our brother/sister experience Your presence and power in this season, and may their work bring glory to Your name.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to put on the full armor of God each day, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Stand firm in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Speak Scripture aloud over your situation, for the Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with and for you, and remain steadfast in your faith, knowing that God is with you.

If this negativity involves unethical behavior or sin in the workplace, we urge you to seek godly counsel and address it with wisdom and integrity, always reflecting Christ in your actions. Remember, your ultimate security is not in your job, but in your identity as a child of God. Trust Him to lead you, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

It’s unsettling when you sense something negative stirring around you at work and can’t quite put your finger on it. That nagging question, “Is this just stress, or is something darker going on?”, can leave you feeling isolated and on edge all day. We’ve seen how the ordinary pressures of a workplace can sometimes become a focal point for deeper spiritual friction, and we don’t think it’s strange that you’re asking the question you’re asking. What matters right now isn’t nailing down a precise label for every shadow, but anchoring yourself in the One who isn’t shaken by any of it.

One grounded insight that often helps in these moments is that we don’t need to live in fear of what we can’t see. The enemy’s tactics thrive on confusion and isolation, so a simple, concrete step can quietly break that fog: at your next break, step outside or find a quiet corner, and for two minutes silently ask the Holy Spirit to fill the space you’re standing in, to give you clear eyes and a steady heart for the rest of your shift. You don’t have to figure out the whole puzzle today; you just need to stay close to the One who already holds the pieces.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person right now, in the middle of their workday. Quiet the noise, seen and unseen, that presses in on them. Surround them with Your peace that doesn’t make sense on paper, and give them a sharp, calm discernment to walk through whatever is happening without fear. Protect their mind and body, and let them sense, even faintly, that they are not alone in this. In Your name we pray. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your work is a field where the enemy often seeks to sow tares among the wheat, for Satan considers our calling and would make it a door of attack. When you sense these negative currents, it may well be the archers grieving you with their arrows, sharp, sudden, and aimed at your peace. Yet fret not overmuch whether this be a direct assault of the devil or a common trial, for in either case, your safety lies not in scrutinizing the foe but in fixing your eyes upon the Saviour. Even when Satan is permitted to touch the children of God, there is always a limit set, a chain upon his malice; he cannot go one hair’s breadth beyond what your Father allows.

Let your bow abide in strength while the enemy rages. Rest in the Lord quietly, not turning your own weapons of fretfulness back upon the archers, but trusting in the mighty power of the God of Jacob. The very ferocity of the temptation often betrays the nearness of spiritual life, Satan flees before life, and Christ has already bruised his head. Plead that precious blood, wield the sword of the Spirit which is the Word, and remember that he who travels the King’s Highway is under the King’s perpetual protection. I shall pray that you may be kept in all your ways, for you need angelic keeping in every step, and that the peace of Christ may garrison your heart till this dark cloud passes.

Perhaps it is a snare of the adversary. Understand that the tempter watches keenly when a person is alone and feels besieged. Just as he set upon the woman in the garden when she was apart from her husband, so he will try to catch you in isolation, using your own thoughts to breed discouragement and fear. He makes trial where he perceives weakness; if he sees something unguarded, he presses his attack. So you are wise to ask whether these negative things are from him.

Yet do not give the enemy a handle. Guard your tongue and your actions among your coworkers, so that no occasion is found for reproach. If you allow resentment or careless speech to grow, you open a door. Remember that he who does not turn aside from the trials of others with compassion, but lets bitterness fester, will find sorrow multiplying in his own heart. But if you walk uprightly and refuse to repay evil for evil, you take away the adversary’s grip.

And keep close to the protection that God Himself has promised. A house built on almsgiving and mercy is hedged about on every side. The devil complained to God concerning righteous Job, “Hast thou not made a hedge about him and about his house and about all that he has?” What built that hedge? Job himself answered: “I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame. I was a father to the orphans.” A heart that remains open in charity, even in distress, will not be fatally wounded. If affliction comes for a season, it can become the occasion of greater blessing, as Job’s trial multiplied his reward and crowned his righteousness. Stand fast, then, and do not believe the lie that these shadows will overwhelm you. The tempter desires to sift you like wheat, but the Lord sees the hedged garden He tends.

It is deeply unsettling when a cloud of negativity settles over your workplace without a clear cause. You sense something is wrong, and that very feeling may be the Lord giving you discernment. The enemy is often most active in the everyday, mundane places because he knows we rarely expect an attack there. People shake their heads at the inexplicable actions of others, actions that can only be understood when you realize there is a spiritual influence behind them. Your workplace has become a small corner of a much larger battlefield.

The first real step toward victory is recognizing the source. When strange accusations fly, when irrational animosity surfaces, or when you just feel battered and beaten down for no logical reason, you must consider the spiritual nature of the conflict. It is not always easy to see because the attack is so wily. Your defense is not to react in the flesh or to defend yourself with frantic, indignant words. If you defend yourself, the Lord will let you, but His way is better. This is the point where you stop and settle the issue in your heart: this is not just about a coworker or a policy; this is an attack of the enemy. Once you recognize it, you can deal with it. Until then, you get hurt.

Now that you have recognized it, resist it in prayer. Nehemiah, when facing a surprise attack from those who wanted to stop the work, didn’t just lament the opposition. He responded first with prayer, and then set a watch. I want you to do the same while you are on the job. The builders in Jerusalem had a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other. Your work is your trowel; your prayer is your sword. Right where you are, in that moment of tension, your spirit can be crying out for the covering of righteousness and the gospel of peace to guard your heart. You can ask the Lord to send out His light and His truth to lead you, even as you feel the oppression of the enemy trying to make you despair.

Do not let the enemy’s activity diminish your faith. Seeing such darkness can be unnerving, but the truth remains firm: greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. The enemy wants you to just bow your head, take the beating, and feel miserable, wondering why God has cast you off. Do not give in to that. Instead, use the Word. It is there we find the power to attack the strongholds the enemy tries to build in our lives. When you stand and resist, the irritation leaves, and you begin to walk in a real, solid victory in Christ. The day changes, not because the situation immediately vanishes, but because your spirit is no longer crushed under it. You have taken your place in the watchtower to see what the Lord will do, and He is faithful to bring help and redemption.
