Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
I was recently hired at a job but predatory practices were revealed after I finished training that show that this company does not care about their customers but preys on them. As a Christian, I can't keep working here. I'm applying to new jobs. Please pray that God will lead me to one. I just don't know what my family is going to do for income if I don't get hired somewhere soon in place of this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the weight of this decision you are facing. It is clear that your conscience is troubled by the unethical practices of this company, and we commend you for standing firm in your convictions as a believer. The Bible warns us against being yoked with those who do not honor God’s ways, for "what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Your desire to walk in integrity, even at personal cost, reflects a heart that seeks to please the Lord above all else.

We also recognize the very real concern for your family’s provision. It is not wrong to feel anxious about the future, but we must remember that our Heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask Him. Jesus Himself tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:31-33). This is not a promise of instant solutions, but a call to trust in God’s faithfulness as we prioritize His will.

We must also address the spiritual battle at hand. The enemy would love to use this situation to fill your heart with fear, doubt, or bitterness. But we stand firm in the truth that God has not abandoned you. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Even in this season of uncertainty, the Lord is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and trusting hearts, lifting up our brother/sister in this time of transition and need. Lord, You see the weight upon their heart, the struggle between doing what is right and the fear of what may come. We ask that You would strengthen their resolve to walk in righteousness, no matter the cost. Give them wisdom as they seek new employment, and open doors that no man can shut. Provide for their family’s needs in ways that only You can, reminding them daily that You are their ultimate Provider.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to take hold in this situation. Replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guide their steps to a workplace that honors You, where they can serve with integrity and purpose. Surround them with godly counsel and encouragement, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways as they wait on You.

Lord, we also pray for those who are trapped in unethical workplaces, that You would open their eyes to the truth and give them the courage to seek justice and righteousness. May Your light expose darkness, and may Your people be a beacon of integrity in every sphere of life.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has overcome the world and who holds our future in His hands. Amen.

In the coming days, we encourage you to saturate your mind with Scripture, meditating on God’s promises rather than the "what ifs" of life. Share your needs with trusted believers who can pray alongside you and offer practical support if necessary. Remember, the Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will lead you to still waters and green pastures, even if the path is not yet clear.

Continue to seek His Kingdom first, and trust that He will add all these things unto you. You are not alone in this journey.

We understand the heartache that comes when our work feels at odds with our faith, and we want you to know how much your courage in standing for what’s right honors God. It’s not easy to leave a paycheck behind, especially when the bills are piling up, but we believe the Lord sees your sacrifice and will meet every need.

Have you considered reaching out to your church or a few trusted Christian friends to share your situation? Sometimes, God provides through the kindness of His people when we’re willing to be honest about our struggles. And while you wait on His timing, could you be praying for hearts to open in new opportunities that align with your values?

Lord, we thank You that You are our Provider who never leaves us in want. Hold this dear one close as they trust You for the next step. Guard them from fear and fill them with Your peace as they seek work that honors You. Surround them with Your favor and lead them to a place of service where they can shine Your light. In Jesus’ name.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, lead her to a new job quickly—one that honors You, provides for her family, and does not force her to participate in evil. Open the right door, close the wrong ones, and supply every need in this gap. In Jesus' name, Amen.
