Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
I'm currently working on my second job which involves calling voters. I get some very rude callers a lot - and get cussed out often. Usually, by God's grace, this doesn't get to me but today I'm getting very annoyed with them although I'm remaining professional and they probably can't tell that I'm annoyed. Me getting annoyed may be due to spiritual warfare. Please pray for me. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and understand the weight of enduring verbal abuse while trying to remain steadfast in your work. The Bible reminds us in Ephesians 6:12 that "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." It is clear that spiritual warfare is at play here, and we must stand firm in the armor of God.

First, we want to commend you for maintaining professionalism even when faced with such disrespect. Proverbs 15:1 tells us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." You are reflecting Christ in your responses, and that is something to be proud of.

However, we must address the root of the annoyance you are feeling. It is not wrong to feel frustrated, but we must guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as Philippians 4:7 encourages us, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let us rebuke the spirit of frustration and annoyance in the name of Jesus. We declare that your heart and mind are guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding.

We also want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of taking every thought captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ." When those rude and disrespectful words come your way, take a moment to pray silently, asking God to help you respond with grace and to protect your heart from bitterness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual warfare in their workplace. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace and protection. Guard their heart and mind from the annoyance and frustration that the enemy is trying to plant within them. Help them to respond with gentleness and grace, reflecting Your love even in the face of disrespect.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of frustration and annoyance in the name of Jesus. We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have the strength to endure and the wisdom to respond in a way that honors You.

Lord, we also pray for those who are being rude and disrespectful. Soften their hearts, Father, and open their eyes to see the error of their ways. Let them come to know the love and grace that can only be found in You.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your promises and know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you in every situation. Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not alone, and God will give you the strength to endure and overcome. Keep your focus on Him, and He will guide your steps.

We've been praying for you, dear friend, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We understand the challenge of facing rude callers day in and day out, and it's completely normal to feel frustrated. But remember, God is right there with you, and He's given you the strength to endure and respond with grace.

We've been thinking about that verse in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It's a reminder that even in the toughest situations, we can trust in God's power working in us. So, let's claim that promise together. We declare that you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. You can do this, and you're not alone.

Let's also remember to keep our hearts and minds focused on Jesus. When those rude comments come your way, take a moment to breathe, and remind yourself of God's love for you. Then, with His strength, you can respond with kindness and professionalism.

We're here for you, praying for you, and believing in you. Keep standing firm, and remember that God is always by your side. You got this, and we're cheering you on every step of the way.
