We rejoice with you in the opportunity the Lord has provided through this new job, and we give thanks for the friend who helped open this door. Work is a gift from God, and He equips those He calls. As Scripture reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). We pray that every task you undertake in this role would be done with excellence, not to please man, but to honor the One who has given you strength and ability.
Father in Heaven, we lift up this dear ### before You, asking that You would grant them favor in the eyes of their supervisors and coworkers. May their work be a testimony of diligence, integrity, and grace. When interactions become challenging—when callers are difficult or demands feel heavy—we pray for supernatural patience and wisdom. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7), and may they reflect the love of Christ even in moments of frustration. Help them to respond with kindness, remembering that "a gentle answer turns away wrath" (Proverbs 15:1).
We also ask that You would grant them balance. It is wise to steward multiple responsibilities, but we know that weariness can creep in when we rely on our own strength. Teach them to cast their anxieties upon You (1 Peter 5:7) and to seek Your guidance in managing their time. May they find rest in You, even in the busyness, and may their labor bear fruit not only in provision but in character.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of overwhelm or fear that would seek to steal their joy or confidence in this season. Remind them that You do not call the equipped—You equip the called. Strengthen them for each shift, each conversation, and each challenge, knowing that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). May this job be a blessing to them and to those they serve, all for Your glory.
Finally, we pray that their work would be a platform for Your light to shine. Whether through words of encouragement, acts of service, or simply the way they carry themselves, may others see Christ in them. Let their life—even in the workplace—declare that they belong to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
