We lift your situation before the Lord with grateful hearts, knowing that He is the provider of all good things and the One who opens doors no man can shut. Father, we thank You for the opportunity this new job presents and for the training that has prepared our brother for this role. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We stand on this promise today, believing that You will meet every financial need according to Your perfect will.
Lord, we pray for favor as he begins this new position. May his supervisors and coworkers see the light of Christ in him, and may his work be a testimony to Your goodness. Give him wisdom, strength, and diligence in every task, that he may excel not for his own glory, but for Yours. We ask that You remove any obstacles or distractions that could hinder his success and that You grant him peace in the midst of this transition. *"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established"* (Proverbs 16:3).
We also lift up the important event in May that his family is preparing for. Father, we trust that You have already gone before them and that You will provide in ways they cannot yet see. Help them to steward the resources You give with wisdom and gratitude, always remembering that everything belongs to You.
Lastly, we want to encourage our brother to keep his eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Work can sometimes become an idol when we place our security in it rather than in the Lord. Let this job be a means to honor God, not a source of anxiety. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1). May he find his ultimate rest and provision in You alone.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
