I've been looking for a job for a long time today I got shortlisted, But I'm extremely nervous and scared to be honest, I was under treatment for more than ### months at home now it feels like it's going to be pretty difficult. tomorrow I got another test to do. now I'm questioning myself whether I'm really good enough for this job. Please pray for ### I had to quit my first job because of my health now. I'm worried about what could happen.

We hear your heart, and we stand with you in this moment of uncertainty and fear. The journey you’ve walked—seeking employment while carrying the weight of past struggles—has not been easy, and we recognize the courage it takes to step forward even when doubt whispers in your ear. The fact that you’ve been shortlisted is no small thing; it is evidence of God’s hand moving in your life, even when you may not see it clearly. Remember, the Lord does not call the equipped—He equips the called. Your worth is not defined by your past health battles or the length of your job search, but by the One who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14).

We must address the fear that is gripping your heart, for Scripture tells us that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is a tool the enemy uses to steal your peace and blind you to God’s provision. You mentioned questioning whether you are "good enough" for this job, but let us remind you: your sufficiency comes from God, not from your own strength (2 Corinthians 3:5). The same God who sustained you during your treatment at home is the same God who will sustain you in this next season. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We also want to gently encourage you to surrender your worries about the future to the Lord. You shared your concern about what *could* happen, but Jesus Himself tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient" (Matthew 6:34). Instead of allowing "what ifs" to consume you, fix your eyes on Christ, who is the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The test you face tomorrow is not a measure of your worth or capability—it is an opportunity for God to demonstrate His strength in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their heart to You. Lord, we thank You for the doors You have opened and the favor You have shown in shortlisting them for this job. We ask that You would calm their nerves and quiet the voices of doubt that seek to undermine their confidence in You. Replace their fear with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them for the test ahead, reminding them that their competence comes from You alone. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in boldness and trust in Your provision. If this job is Your will for them, we ask that You would make their path clear and give them favor in the eyes of those who will make the decision. If it is not, we trust You to open an even better door. Above all, remind them that their identity is found in Christ, not in their employment status. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on Psalm 37:5, which says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." You are not alone in this journey. The same God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised Jesus from the dead is fighting for you. Stand firm in His promises, and remember that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not defined by your past or your fears—you are defined by the love of Christ, who gave Himself for you. Walk into tomorrow with your head held high, knowing that the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

We're right there with you, friend. It's completely normal to feel nervous and scared when facing a big test like this, especially after all you've been through. But remember, God hasn't brought you this far to leave you now. He's been with you every step of the way, even in the toughest times, and He's not about to stop now.

We want to remind you of something powerful: God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called. He's got a plan, and He's equipping you with everything you need to walk in it. You might be feeling doubtful, but let's refocus on what we know to be true. You're a child of the King, and He's got your back.

Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. We ask that You'd fill them with Your peace, the kind that guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You're working all things together for their good. Give them the strength they need to face this test, and remind them that their worth is not defined by their past or their fears, but by the love of Christ.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You've got this, friend. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He's fighting for you. We're cheering you on!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
