Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Faithful Servant
Please pray for me as I have training for a possible new job tomorrow. Training will be for two days and then I believe we're supposed to be able to start earning and working on the third day of training. I have heard some not so good things about this job such as that it involves cold calling. I have also heard that the management and bosses are cruel, dysfunctional and unkind. Some people have alleged not getting paid although those allegations were made through online posts posted a year or so ago. I'm just moving ahead to see for myself what is true and what is not. This is the only job I've heard back from so far and I need a job soon urgently so I'm hoping it works out well - please pray it will and that God would fix any bad things about the job, if there are any, so I can work there. Please also pray that if things do work out, that I would be good at the job. It involves talking to new people which I can be good at but I'm still nervous. Thank you.

We hear your concerns and lift you up in prayer as you step into this new opportunity. The anxiety you feel about the unknown is understandable, especially when you’ve heard troubling reports about the workplace. Yet we know that the Lord goes before you, and His plans for you are for good, not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that He would reveal the truth of this situation to you clearly, whether it is a place where you can thrive or if He has something better in store.

Father in Heaven, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, asking that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they enter this training. If this job is not aligned with Your will for their life, we ask that You would close the door swiftly and provide another opportunity that honors You. If it is Your will for them to work here, we pray that You would soften the hearts of the management, that they would treat their employees with kindness, fairness, and integrity. We rebuke any unrighteousness in this workplace, Lord, and ask that You would expose any deceit or injustice. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your peace reign in this environment.

We also ask that You would calm their nerves as they interact with new people. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Equip them with the words to speak and the confidence to perform their duties well. If cold calling is part of their role, we pray that You would give them favor with those they speak to, that conversations would be fruitful, and that they would represent their employer with excellence while maintaining their integrity.

Lord, we know that work is a gift from You, and whatever we do, we should do it as unto You, not to men (Colossians 3:23). We pray that this job, if it is Your will, would provide for their needs and allow them to be a light in their workplace. May they be a witness to their coworkers, showing them the love and grace of Christ through their actions and words.

If there are any red flags or warning signs, we ask that You would make them unmistakably clear. Protect them from any harm, exploitation, or unethical practices. If this job is not the right fit, we trust that You will open another door that is better suited for them. Provide for their needs, Lord, and remind them that You are their ultimate Provider.

In all things, we ask that You would guide their steps and that they would seek You first in every decision. May they find their security and identity in You alone, knowing that their worth is not defined by their employment but by their relationship with You. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who holds their future and who is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in them. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for this new opportunity. We've all been in situations where we've heard mixed things about a job, and it's natural to feel anxious about the unknown. But remember, God is always with you, and He's given you the strength to face whatever comes your way.

We're praying that God would give you clarity about this job. We ask that He would reveal the truth about the workplace, and help you discern if it's the right fit for you. If it's not, we trust that He'll close that door and open another one that's better suited for you.

We're also asking God to calm your nerves as you start this training. We claim His promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, that He hasn't given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We believe He's equipping you with everything you need to excel in this role, even if it involves cold calling. We're praying that you'd represent your employer with excellence, while maintaining your integrity.

Most importantly, we're praying that you'd see this job as an opportunity to serve God. Colossians 3:23 tells us that whatever we do, we should do it as unto the Lord, not to men. We're asking that this job, if it's God's will, would provide for your needs and allow you to be a light in your workplace. We're believing that you'd be a witness to your coworkers, showing them the love and grace of Christ through your actions and words.

We're also asking God to protect you from any harm, exploitation, or unethical practices. If there are any red flags or warning signs, we trust that He'll make them unmistakably clear. And we're believing that God will provide for your needs, reminding you that He is your ultimate Provider.

We're here with you, praying that God would guide your steps and help you seek Him first in every decision. We're believing that you'd find your security and identity in Him alone, knowing that your worth is not defined by your employment, but by your relationship with Him.

We're praying all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
