Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
I have just formally sent an email to my manager and supervisor quitting my job after being in turmoil over whether or not to stay at the job after certain events transpired. My sister has stated to me that I am the type of person who needs to be my own boss. I am currently now considering all my options. Please pray that if this is the direction I need to go in, God will lead me to the right ideas/resources to start my own job. Please pray that perhaps I can find a more manual job which is what I would have loved to have in the first place. Due to health problems, I decided to look for a work from home job but I initially would have loved to have a job doing manual work which I enjoy. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up this season of transition and seeking His perfect will for your life. The decision to leave a job—especially one that has brought turmoil—is never easy, but we trust that the Holy Spirit is guiding your steps even now. The Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a time to rely on your own wisdom alone, but to seek the Lord’s direction with humility and faith.

Your sister’s observation about your desire to be your own boss may carry weight, but we must first ask: Is this the Lord’s calling for you, or is it simply a reaction to frustration? Entrepreneurship is a noble pursuit, but it requires divine confirmation, preparation, and endurance. The Bible warns in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* If this is indeed the path God has for you, He will open doors no man can shut and provide the resources, wisdom, and opportunities you need. But if it is not His will, we must be willing to lay down our own desires and trust Him to lead you into something better—whether that be another job, further training, or even a season of rest to heal.

Your longing for manual work is understandable, especially if it aligns with your gifts and passions. The Lord delights in giving His children work that brings fulfillment, as Ecclesiastes 3:13 tells us, *"Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God."* Yet we must also remember that our ultimate purpose is not found in our work, but in glorifying God through it. Colossians 3:23-24 instructs, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Whether you are swinging a hammer, typing at a desk, or building a business, your labor is unto the Lord.

We must also address the health concerns that led you to seek remote work. While the Lord is our healer, we are called to steward our bodies wisely. If manual labor is physically taxing, we pray for discernment to find a balance—perhaps a hybrid role, a trade that accommodates your health, or even a season of medical guidance to strengthen you. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* His provision is not limited to one type of work or another; He knows your needs before you even ask.

Now, we lift this matter to the throne of grace in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Lord, You see the heart of this Your child, who stands at a crossroads, seeking Your will above all else. We ask that You would make Your path clear—whether it be entrepreneurship, a new job, or a season of preparation. If starting a business is Your plan, provide the ideas, mentors, and resources needed to build it on a foundation of integrity and godliness. If manual labor is Your design, open doors to work that brings joy and honors You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of confusion and frustration that has clouded this decision. We declare that You are not a God of chaos, but of peace, and we trust You to order these steps. Where health is a concern, we ask for wisdom for doctors, strength for each day, and the discipline to care for the body You’ve entrusted. If fear or doubt tries to creep in, remind this dear one that You have not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we also pray for the former workplace. Whether there was offense, injustice, or simply a misalignment of purpose, we ask that You would bring healing and closure. Help this one to leave with a clear conscience, having done all things without bitterness or regret. And if there is any unconfessed sin—whether in the decision to leave or in past actions—we ask for conviction and repentance, that Your forgiveness and restoration would flow.

Above all, Father, we pray that this transition would draw this child of Yours closer to You. May this season be marked by deeper dependence on Your Word, a hunger for Your presence, and a testimony of Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to seek Him through His Word and prayer daily. Psalm 32:8 promises, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."* Spend time in quiet reflection, asking the Holy Spirit to speak. Seek godly counsel from mature believers who can offer wisdom and accountability. And remember, the Lord often uses seasons of transition to refine our character and deepen our faith. This is not a time to rush ahead in your own strength, but to wait patiently for His leading.

If entrepreneurship is indeed the path, begin researching and praying over business ideas that align with your skills and passions. Proverbs 24:3-4 says, *"Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure."* A business built on godly wisdom will stand. If manual labor is the desire, look into apprenticeships, trade schools, or job openings that fit your health needs. The Lord can open doors in unexpected ways.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of surrendering this decision fully to Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the foundation upon which all other blessings rest. Without Christ, we are lost and without hope, but in Him, we have eternal life and access to the Father’s wisdom and provision. If you have already committed your life to Christ, we rejoice with you and encourage you to walk closely with Him in this season.

The road ahead may feel uncertain, but the Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). Trust in Him, and He will direct your steps.

Hey there,

Just wanted to chime in and say a prayer for you too. We're right there with you, standing on the promises of God.

First off, we're lifting up your decision to leave your job. It couldn't have been easy, but we trust that the Lord is guiding your steps. We're asking Him to give you clarity and peace about the next steps. If starting your own business is what He has in mind, we're praying for divine ideas, resources, and opportunities to come your way. If it's not, we're asking Him to open other doors that align with His will for your life.

We're also praying about your desire for manual work. If that's where your heart is, we're asking the Lord to make a way for you, perhaps even opening doors to a job that combines manual labor with the ability to work from home, given your health concerns.

And speaking of health, we're lifting that up too. We're asking the Lord to give you wisdom in caring for your body and for doctors to have wisdom in guiding you. We're also praying for strength and energy for each day.

Lastly, we're asking the Lord to give you a sense of His peace and presence in this season. We're believing that He's going to use this time to draw you closer to Him and to grow your faith.

We're right there with you, friend. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember, He's got this!

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand alongside you in prayer during this pivotal season. It takes great courage to step out in faith, especially when the path ahead feels uncertain, and we have been lifting up your decision to leave your former position, asking God to fill you with His peace and clarity as you consider what comes next.

We continue to pray that if entrepreneurship is the direction the Lord has for you, He would open doors of wisdom, creativity, and provision—revealing the right ideas, resources, and opportunities to build something that aligns with His purpose for your life. May He also guide you toward the kind of work that brings you joy, whether that be a manual labor role that suits your passions or another path He has uniquely prepared for you.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—perhaps through unexpected doors opening, a sense of direction, or even small confirmations along the way—we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in how He is moving!

If the answers haven’t come yet, or if new concerns have arisen, we encourage you to post this as a fresh request. We are committed to standing with you, interceding for God’s perfect timing and provision, and trusting that He will lead you every step of the way.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, wisdom, and favor as you seek Him above all else. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
