I am struggling. I am horrified. A response to my text that I would like to meet way "I left papers taped to your Jeep", then a follow up with "speaking will be inevitable". I am doing positive things for myself. Praying. Power walking. Reading scripture. Journaling. Taking an eight week course. Going to church. Therapy. Engaging with Christian counselors. The pain inside me is unbearable. On April 10th we were going to be together forever, the next day he calls me a liar, tells me to leave, I told him to leave. We haven't worked through anything. We haven't talked. Except one time. He is dealing with lung cancer and no one in his family is concerned about anything but his cancer. I mean nothing to his Mother. Lord, I know the world has REAL PROBLEMS- but the life we had was stolen from us by the forces of darkness. His delusions. His paranoia- all the results of his self-medicating with weed and alcohol and not taking his antipsychotic meds. He has a pattern of doing this. I'm angry and I don't want to be. Your prayers and Bible verses are so comforting to me. In His time-

We are truly sorry to hear about the painful situation you are going through. Divorce is a serious and devastating issue, and it's clear that you are experiencing deep emotional turmoil. We want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical guidance during this difficult time.

Firstly, let's turn to the Bible for comfort and guidance. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. This is a reminder that Jesus is always there to comfort and support us, especially in our darkest hours.

Regarding the divorce, it's important to remember that God takes marriage seriously. In Malachi 2:16 WEB, it is written, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. We encourage you to seek God's will in this matter and to pray for guidance and strength.

It's commendable that you are taking positive steps for yourself, such as praying, reading scripture, journaling, attending church, and seeking therapy and Christian counseling. These actions show your faith and determination to stay close to God during this trial.

However, we must address a couple of concerns. The battle you are describing is not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 WEB says, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The real enemy is not your husband or his family, but the spiritual forces of darkness that are influencing his actions and your reactions.

It's also crucial to address the issue of anger. In Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB, it is written, Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil. Anger in itself is not a sin, but it's important not to let it lead you to sin or to give the devil a foothold in your life.

We also need to discuss the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Make sure to acknowledge Jesus with faith in His miraculous birth, death, and resurrection for us. This is the only way to salvation for anyone.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is going through a tremendously painful time. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and guidance during this trial. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her deeply.

Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would touch his heart and bring him to a place of repentance and healing. We pray for his physical healing from cancer and for his spiritual and mental healing as well.

Father, we ask for the spiritual forces of darkness to be bound and cast out of this situation. We pray for peace, understanding, and a miraculous restoration of this marriage if it is Your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray for strength, forgiveness, and love to flow through this sister, that she may be a beacon of light and hope in this dark time.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust in You and Your promises.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know the pain you're feeling, the anger, the confusion. It's like a storm inside, and it's overwhelming. But remember, God is right there with you, in the midst of it all.

In times like these, it's easy to feel alone, but you're not. You've got us, and you've got God. He's promised in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's close, He's listening, and He cares.

We want to encourage you to keep doing what you're doing - praying, walking, reading, journaling, going to church, seeking therapy and counsel. These are all ways you're reaching out to God, and He sees your effort. Keep trusting in Him, even when it's hard.

We also want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He loves you. He's not punishing you; He's walking through this with you. And even if the marriage doesn't work out, God's plan for you is good (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in that.

Lastly, friend, we want to pray for you. Would you mind if we lift you up to the Lord right now?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

From 8 am until 4 pm he called me 6 times. I had my phone on do not disturb..we spoke. Asked if I got the papers and what do I want to do. I said I don't want to divorce, that I love him. That he is who I want to be with. That I believe in us. He wanted to speak more, but I had a class and if we could speak after. I even did my new evening power walk during my zoom class. I thanked the Lord for opening this door. I believe in God's promises. I feel hopeful, and grateful for this forum. For these prayers, for the Scripture, for possibilities. I do believe that mental illness is a spiritual invasion. I recite these personal and specific prayers aloud. I often write them in my journal. His Will. I desire to be who my Heavenly Father has created me to be. I have been seriously thinking about being baptized. Maybe it will encourage him. Thank you for holding my marriage up in prayer.

Lastly, friend, we want to pray for you. Would you mind if we lift you up to the Lord right now?
Yes, please! We have had positive communication today. I told him I did not want to divorce, because I love him. I had a late zoom class, so we will talk tomorrow.

We continue to feel honored that you have shared your burden with us and allowed us to pray with you. We are standing in agreement with you in prayer as you navigate this challenging personal situation.

If you have seen any progress or breakthroughs in your situation, we would be delighted to hear about it. Your testimony could be a great encouragement to others who are also going through difficult times. If you feel that your request has not yet been answered, please don't hesitate to post it again. We are here to continue praying with you for as long as it takes.

We pray that God will give you the strength and peace to face your circumstances. We ask God to intervene, heal, comfort, and bring peace. We pray for your husband's well-being: that God will enable him to tear down the fortress of addiction. We pray for a renewed sense of purpose and continued valley experiences as you press in to God. We pray for clarity and wisdom for all parties involved. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Meanwhile, we celebrate the positive steps you are taking. Keep praying, engaging with scripture, and seeking support from therapists and Christian counselors. Remember, God is with you in this storm, and He cares about every detail of your life.

We pray that God will bring healing, peace, and make a way possible where it seems impossible. We trust that God is working even in this situation. Everything is in His time. Cling to Him in prayer, trusting that He is working all things together for your good because you love Him and you are called according to His purpose. We pray that whatever happens that you will be strengthened by Him as your identity is rooted in Christ. We pray that you will be surgically removed from anything that hinders your intimacy with Jesus Christ and that God will redeem every lost moment. We ask that you will feel held by Him in the night seasons and joy will come in the morning. We pray that the cross of separation from your husband will not be lighter or heavier than what Jesus bore.

Please rest in the fact that we are actively praying on your behalf. We pray that the peace of God will come and prevail in your situation, and calm the anger that you rightly feel. We pray that you will be faithful and that your partner's family will develop a heart of concern that would form the core of effective, wholehearted prayer. We pray that the healing of body and soul will be in conjunction and not separated. In Jesus Name.
