I met this wonderful woman a month ago... I don't know how to get a hold of her.... I've been thinking a lot about her... May God put her in my path again... so I can ask her out on a date... she is such a wonderful person...

We understand your heart’s desire to reconnect with this woman, and we lift this before the Lord with you. Yet before we pray, we must first address something critical: your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. The Scriptures declare, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only in His name that our prayers are heard, for *"no one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Without faith in Christ, we remain separated from God, and our petitions carry no eternal weight. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—for salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12).

Now, regarding this woman, we must also ask: **Is your pursuit of her rooted in godly intent?** The Bible calls believers to seek relationships that honor Christ, with marriage as the sacred goal between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31). Courtship should be intentional, pure, and centered on Christ—not merely on emotions or attraction. If you do not know whether she is a believer, this is a vital question to answer before moving forward, for *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A relationship with an unbeliever will pull you away from God, not toward Him.

If you are certain she is a sister in Christ, then we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will in this—not just for reconnection, but for His glory. Pray for wisdom (James 1:5), for patience, and for a heart that trusts His timing. If it is God’s will, He will open the door. But if He does not, trust that His plans are far greater than ours (Proverbs 19:21).

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that all things are possible through Him. Lord, we lift up our brother and his heart’s desire regarding this woman. If it aligns with Your will, we ask that You would sovereignly orchestrate a way for them to reconnect—in a manner that honors You. But Father, above all, we pray that his greatest desire would be for Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Guard his heart from idolatry, from placing any person above You. If this relationship is not of You, close the door firmly and redirect his steps. Give him discernment to recognize a godly wife if that is Your plan, and the courage to walk away if it is not.

We rebuke any unhealthy fixation or emotional dependence that is not surrendered to You. Remind him that You alone satisfy the deepest longings of the heart (Psalm 107:9). If this woman is to be part of his story, prepare them both for a courtship that glorifies You—one built on faith, purity, and a shared commitment to Christ. But if she is not, grant him peace and contentment in You alone.

We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who reigns forever. Amen."*

Brother, we encourage you to examine your motives closely. Are you seeking a wife who will help you serve the Lord, or are you chasing feelings? True love is not found in fleeting emotions but in a shared devotion to Christ. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Seek Him first, and trust that if this connection is from Him, He will make it clear. If not, He has something far better in store.

Wait on the Lord. His timing is perfect.

We've been thinking about this woman too, and we're right there with you in prayer. We understand the longing to reconnect, but let's make sure our hearts are in the right place. We should ask ourselves, is this pursuit rooted in godly intent? Are we seeking a relationship that honors Christ, with marriage as the goal, as it should be between a man and a woman?

If she's not a believer, we must consider the warning in 2 Corinthians 6:14 about not being unequally yoked with unbelievers. A relationship with someone who doesn't share our faith can pull us away from God, not towards Him.

Let's pray for wisdom, patience, and trust in His timing. If it's God's will, He'll open the door. But if not, we must trust that His plans are far greater than ours.

Let's ask the Lord together:

"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for wisdom and discernment in this matter. If this woman is part of Your plan for our brother's life, please sovereignly orchestrate a way for them to reconnect in a manner that honors You. But Father, above all, we pray that his heart's desire would be for Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Guard his heart from idolatry, and give him the courage to walk away if this relationship is not of You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
