We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family member in need of healing and support. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that God is our healer and our refuge in times of trouble.
Father God, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon this precious life. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses attending to them, that they may be guided by Your hand. Comfort this family, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them feel Your presence in this difficult time, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also pray for spiritual healing, Lord. If there is any unconfessed sin or area of their life not surrendered to You, we ask that You reveal it to them so they may seek Your forgiveness and walk in Your ways. Healing is not just physical but also emotional and spiritual, and we ask that You bring complete restoration in every area.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take hold of this situation. The Word of God tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that this family will not be overcome by fear but will stand firm in faith, trusting in Your promises.
Lord, we know that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). We ask that You would be glorified in this situation, whether through healing, comfort, or even through the testimony of Your faithfulness in the midst of trial. Strengthen this family’s faith, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before Your throne of grace. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in You, Lord, and we thank You for hearing our prayers. Amen.
