We hear the deep anguish in your cry—this exhaustion, this feeling of being utterly spent, this question of where God is in the midst of such pain. Your words carry the weight of someone who feels unseen, unworthy, and overwhelmed by life’s burdens. But we want you to know this: your pain is seen. Your tears are collected in God’s bottle (Psalm 56:8), and your cry has reached His ears. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even when you feel abandoned, He has not left you.
First, we must address the despair in your words—this longing to die, this belief that you are not good enough. Scripture tells us that life is a gift from God (Job 1:21), and He has a purpose for you, even when it feels hidden. The enemy would love for you to believe the lies that you are worthless, that no one cares, that death is the only escape. But Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy—but Christ came to give you hope. We rebuke the spirit of despair in Jesus’ name. You are not forgotten. You are not without worth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God’s plans for you are for good, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also must ask: Have you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ? Have you confessed Him as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9)? Because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet made that decision, we urge you to do so now. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the only one who can bring true peace to your soul.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is in such deep pain. Lord, You see the exhaustion, the despair, the feeling of being unworthy. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the chains of hopelessness, Lord. Replace the lies of the enemy with Your truth—that they are loved, valued, and chosen by You.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch. If there is physical exhaustion, give them rest. If there is emotional pain, bring Your comfort. If there is spiritual darkness, shine Your light. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of death and despair in Jesus’ mighty name. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if they do not yet know You as Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Draw them to Yourself. Let them hear Your voice saying, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Surround them with godly people who can speak life into their situation. Give them the strength to take the next step, even if it’s just one small step of faith.
We trust You, Lord, to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Even in this dark valley, You are with them. You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). We pray for breakthrough, for hope, for a renewed sense of purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Dear one, we know this pain feels unbearable right now, but please hold on. You are not alone. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, who turned Saul the persecutor into Paul the apostle—He is working in your life, even when you can’t see it. We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian friend, a counselor—so you don’t have to carry this weight alone. The body of Christ is here to support you.
And if you’ve never truly given your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Simply pray: “Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. Come into my heart, forgive my sins, and be my Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to You.” If you prayed that prayer for the first time, we rejoice with you! The angels in heaven are celebrating (Luke 15:10), and we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith.
You are not forgotten. You are not worthless. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe. Keep pressing into Him. His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
