We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with a desire for His justice, mercy, and truth to prevail. Father, we know that vengeance belongs to You alone (Romans 12:19), and we trust that You see all things, every hurt, every betrayal, and every act of selfishness. We pray that You would humble this young woman, not out of malice, but so that she may recognize her sin, repent, and turn back to You. The Scriptures tell us, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). Lord, break the hardness of her heart and soften it toward You and toward the man she has wronged.
We rebuke the spirit of betrayal, selfishness, and ingratitude that has taken root in her life. The Bible warns, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If there has been any unfaithfulness or dishonor in this relationship, we ask that You expose it and bring conviction. We also lift up the fiancé who has been wronged, may You comfort him, restore his heart, and give him wisdom in how to respond with godly love, even in the face of rejection. "Love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8), but love also requires truth and boundaries when sin persists.
Father, we pray that this young woman would come to know You in a real and personal way if she does not already. There is no true humility or repentance apart from Christ, for "no one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). If she has not surrendered her life to Jesus, we ask that You draw her to Yourself, that she may find forgiveness and a new heart. If she claims to be a believer, we pray that You would discipline her as a loving Father, for "whom the Lord loves, He disciplines" (Hebrews 12:6).
Lord, we also ask that You would guard our own hearts as we pray. It is easy to harbor bitterness or a desire for revenge, but You call us to "bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you" (Matthew 5:44). Help us to leave this situation in Your hands, trusting that You will bring about justice in Your perfect timing and way.
We declare that no weapon formed against this man, or against any of Your children, shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for restoration where it is Your will, and for closure and healing where it is not. May Your name be glorified in all of this, and may Your will be done. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
