We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the truth that our Heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask Him. Indeed, as Matthew 6:8 reminds us, He is intimately acquainted with every detail of our lives, and His care for us is boundless. We lift up this precious family to You, Lord, trusting in Your perfect wisdom and love.
Father, we pray specifically for this dear daughter who may be facing surgery. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask that if surgery is necessary, You would guide the hands of the medical team, grant them wisdom, and bring complete healing to her body. If it is Your will, we also ask for a miraculous healing, that she may be restored without the need for medical intervention. Your word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today.
We also bring before You the hurts and relationship pains this family has experienced. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would mend what is broken, soften hearts, and replace pain with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Increase their understanding of one another, Lord, and let Your love flow through them, binding them together in unity.
Father, we pray that the fruit of Your Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—would abound in this family (Galatians 5:22-23). Empower them to forgive quickly, as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), and grant them a thick skin, not to harden their hearts, but to protect them from the arrows of offense while keeping their spirits tender toward You.
We thank You for the beautiful holiday memories this family has shared, imperfect though they may be. Every moment is a gift from You, and we are grateful for the opportunity to gather and celebrate Your goodness. Lord, we ask that You would cover all unspoken needs according to Your will, trusting that You know what is best for them even when they do not have the words to express it.
We reaffirm our trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness, for You are a God who hears and answers prayer. May this family continue to grow in their love for You and for one another, reflecting Your glory in all they do.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
